Prince Harry has made no secret of his feelings for Queen Camilla and has spoken about the awkward moment they met and just what happened when the two came face-to-face
Prince Harry has said his first meeting with Queen Camilla was “like getting an injection”.
The Duke of Sussex, who has never minced his words when it comes to his father King Charles’s beloved wife, has gone into detail about their awkward first meeting. Harry said: “Willy went first. He’d bumped into the Other Woman, once, at the palace, but now he was formally summoned from Eton for a high-stakes private meeting.”
Harry said his brother said it had gone well and Camilla “had made an effort.” Detailing the encounter in his book Spare, Harry continued: “My turn came next. I told myself: No big deal. Just like getting an injection. Close your eyes, over before you know it.”

Harry has spoken openly about his early life as he revealed the “harsh” nickname his family gave him, and went on to say he was brought into the world in case something happened to his brother William. He said he was “summoned to provide backup, distraction, diversion and, if necessary, a spare part.”
The nickname has re-emerged as The Mirror reports Harry has revealed who gave him the moniker of ‘spare’ after his birth. A recently revisited snippet from his memoir shows that it was his father, King Charles, who first coined the term, with Harry having a longstanding resentment towards the nickname.
Harry first lifted the lid on just how he got the nickname ‘spare’ in chapters in his bombshell book. Royal fans all over the world were stunned with the rather harsh nickname for the The Duke of Sussex.
Now, he has revealed just how he got it. In a newly-resurfaced excerpt from the book, Prince Harry discussed his relationship with his father King Charles.
He revealed it was his dad who actually gave him the nickname – in reaction to Princess Diana giving birth to a second boy. Harry said his dad’s words were: “Wonderful! Now you’ve given me an heir and a spare – my work is done.”
