Three men have been killed in a horror smash and a fourth person has been taken to hospital after the crash in Falkirk yesterday evening.
The incident, which appears to only have involved a single vehicle, occurred on Moss Road near Dunmore at around 6.15pm with emergency crews arriving on the scene shortly after.
Three male passengers – aged 21, 23 and 24 – were pronounced dead at the scene while a driver, described as a woman aged 20, was taken to Forth Valley Hospital for treatment.
Drivers faced diversions as the road was closed for around seven hours while investigators worked at the scene of the fatal crash.
Officers are appealing for witnesses following the incident which they said involved a white Ford Focus. Sergeant Mike Thomson said: “Our thoughts are with the family and friends of the men who died at this very difficult time.”
“Our inquiries are ongoing to establish the full circumstances and I am appealing to anyone who witnessed the crash and who has not already spoke to officers to get in touch.
“I would also appeal for anyone who was driving in the area and who may have dash-cam footage that could assist to contact us.”
