TV writer Jake Hackney has his eye on Samsung’s latest cashback deal that offers shoppers hundreds of pounds when snapping up a new 4K or 8K smart TV
There are so many tech brands competing for our business these days, with the likes of LG, Samsung and even Amazon regularly unveiling shiny new TVs alongside enticing money-saving deals designed to tempt us to pick up their latest gadgets. That’s why as tech writers it’s our job to sift through the countless offers and deals to highlight the ones we believe are worth your money.
We’re taking a look at a mega Samsung deal for this edition of our Top Tech series, where we bring you our favourite deals on the biggest tech brands. Samsung is currently giving away up to £300 cashback to shoppers who buy one of their new smart TVs, some of which have already seen price drops worth hundreds of pounds.
The deal is available with Samsung’s latest range of 4K and 8K smart TVs which were released earlier this year. There is a larger offer of £500 cashback if you’re willing to cough up close to £8,000 on this huge 98” Neo QLED 4K smart TV, but it’s the cheaper – though still super high-spec – models that have caught our eye.

Leading Samsung’s 4K range is the QN90D Neo QLED 4K HDR smart TV, with shoppers able to save £550 on the 55” model. This device can upscale non-4K content to ensure you get the best picture quality, even with older programming, as well as reduced glare with its anti-glare screen.
It also offers vastly improved detail with Neo Quantum HDR+ that allows you to see the tiny details you may not see on older models. It’s also great for gamers as it offers ultra-smooth visuals and ultra-low input lag for the most responsive gameplay experience.
Samsung will give shoppers £150 cashback with the 55” model that’s already seen a £400 price drop, meaning shoppers can bag a whopping £550 discount for a total cost of £1,149. On the lower end of the price scale, Samsung’s QNX1D Neo QLED 4K HDR smart TV is a more budget-friendly option – though by no means inferior.
Shoppers can bag a free soundbar with this TV, as well as a £550 discount and a further £100 cashback. For £849 after the discount, the 55” model offers similar features to the previous model, including 4K AI upscaling, amazing detail powered by Quantum Mini LEDs, a powerful AI processor and an anti-glare screen.
As if 4K wasn’t clear enough, Samsung’s QN800D Neo QLED 8K TV delivers the best picture quality from Samsung’s TV range thanks to a screen with around 33 million pixels – roughly four times more than 4K TVs. This model features Samsung’s ‘most intelligent’ 4K AI processor and delivers ultra-clear pictures with Quantum Mini LEDs that are roughly the size of a grain of sand.
It also boasts an anti-glare screen and immersive sound that follows the action on screen with eight speakers powered by Object Tracking Sound Plus and Dolby Atmos. While not the cheapest option available by any means, this TV is the standout choice for shoppers looking for the best picture quality on the market.
There’s a range of screen sizes available from 65” to 85”, but we’ve opted for the 65” as our top pick that comes with a £100 discount, plus £200 cashback, bringing the total price to £2,799. There are countless Samsung TVs available in a range of sizes, so it’s worth shopping for the model that best suits your budget and room size.
There are also some big savings available elsewhere, with Amazon slashing hundreds off its own 4K Fire TVs. The Big Deal Days sale may have ended, but shoppers can pick up the Amazon Fire TV Omni QLED series 4K UHD smart TV from £379.99.
There’s £170 off the 43” model, with shoppers able to choose from four screen sizes up to the whopping 65”. As the highest spec model from Amazon’s Fire TV range, this device boasts a rich 4K QLED display with detail powered by Dolby Vision IQ and HDR10+.
It also features adaptive brightness that automatically adjusts the TV’s brightness based on the lighting in your room with a built-in sensor. The Omni QLED Fire TV is a great option for shoppers looking to upgrade to 4K without breaking the bank.
