The supermarket giant has issued an important notice to anyone planning to buy Baileys in the run up to Christmas, the drink is the second most popular gift for friends and family
Tesco has shared an important update for Baileys lovers this festive season. According to Tesco’s Christmas Trends Report 2024, the popular drink is a top pick for host gifts and the second most favoured present for friends and family this Christmas.
This makes it the perfect time to stock up on Baileys, a holiday staple that’s also great for seasonal recipes like Festive Eton Mess or an Irish Cream Chocolate Yule Log. Good news for fans, from Tuesday, November 19, Tesco is selling 1L bottles of Baileys at their lowest price of the year*.
Until December 9, Clubcard holders can grab a bottle for just £10**, saving 54 percent (£12). Tesco’s Christmas delivery slots also opened last week, drawing in keen shoppers who queued from the early hours. Priority slots were available from November 5, but regular customers can now book their slots as of 6am on November 12. Wondering how to book a Tesco Christmas slot?
Booking either a click and collect or home delivery slot with Tesco is straightforward, reports the Express. Simply visit the Tesco website, select your preferred slot and continue with your online grocery shopping as usual. It’s worth noting that you can make any changes to your order up until your chosen slot.
Tesco offers two options for home delivery: a ‘fixed one hour slot’ and a ‘flexi saver slot’, both providing customers with a specific one-hour window on their chosen delivery day. However, the click and collect service only provides a fixed one-hour window. Currently, Tesco’s Christmas food slots are open from November 12 to December 20 for home delivery, and up to December 22 for click and collect. Slots are available throughout the day, but they’re being snapped up quickly.
Delivery slots do come with a fee, varying from £3 to £7 for regular shoppers, depending on the chosen time and date. Click and collect is slightly more affordable, costing between £1 and £3. For those who’d rather not pay for online food shopping, Tesco’s Delivery Saver Pass could be a good option. This monthly subscription removes the need to pay for an online slot.
The supermarket offers a six-month ‘off-peak’ pass for just £4.99 a month, while its ‘Anytime’ pass costs £7.99 per month for six months. The pass can also be used for the click and collect service, priced at £2.49 per month for six months. However, customers should weigh up whether their weekly online shopping justifies the costs. Further details can be found on the Tesco website. Head over to Tesco’s website to secure your Christmas food delivery slot.
