Maura Higgins, who celebrated her birthday with her I’m a Celebrity…Get Me Out of Here! campmates on Monday, rose to fame on ITV’s reality dating show Love Island
Maura Higgins is set to rake in £1.5million in brand deals off the back of I’m A Celeb, reports claim.
The former Love Island contestant, who turned 34 on Monday, is one of the favourites to win I’m a Celebrity…Get Me Out of Here! after entering as a late arrival. She’s 6/1 with some bookies at the moment.
And now insiders have revealed Maura has telly and brand deals in the pipeline, which are worth around £1.5million, when the ITV series ends. A source close to Maura said: “Beauty brands, fashion labels and TV execs in the UK and US are already queuing up to work with her. She’s had some incredible offers. This next chapter is going to be huge for her. She’s excited about the opportunities coming her way.”
The TV personality, raised in Ballymahon, Ireland, was renowned on Love Island for her potty mouth, which she’s brought to the jungle. She won praise from her fellow campmates after she shared how she once got revenge on an unfaithful ex.
And Maura’s no-nonsense opinions are reportedly attracting the eye of major fashion labels, including makeup firm Mac which is understood to be keen to work with the woman.
Maura was placed in the Jungle Junkyard alongside fellow late arrival Reverend Richard Coles, 62, before heading into main camp, The Sun reports. The duo have spiced things up since joining the main camp, and together succeeded in a gruelling Bushtucker Trial on Saturday.
They faced the first eating trial of the series, the Terrifying Teddy Bear’s Picnic. A daunted Maura turned to Richard, pleading, “Father, can we say a prayer please?”.
Following the trial, as the entire cast headed to main camp, there appeared to be a feud between campmates, the outlet reports. A new bed and hammock had been set up for fresh arrivals, with McFly’s Danny Jones seizing the opportunity to ditch his hammock. Jane couldn’t help but observe: “It’s Lord of The Flies, if you’re newcomers you get the worst beds.”
