TikTok and Youtube star Gordo Peruci, 37, was with his partner when a group of men approached them and opened fire multiple times – the influencer died on the spot
A TikTok star and his wife have died after being gunned down outside their home by a group of armed men.
Gordo Peruci, 37, was with his partner when the group approached them at the north-western Mexico property and opened fire. The dad-of-four, whose real name is Leovardo Asipuro Soto, was struck multiple times and died on the spot. His wife Brenda Félix was rushed to hospital in a critical condition and later died of her injuries.
Police have launched an investigation into the killings, which took place on December 9 outside the couple’s Culiacán home in north-western Mexico at around 10pm. Authorities are yet to have made any arrests in connection with the murders.
Leovardo leaves behind four children and was best known for creating comedy content for his one million TikTok followers and 470,000 Instagram fans. He also had a popular YouTube channel with 172,000 subscribers where he performed sketches and told humorous stories.
He gained fame for his collaborations with Marco Eduardo Castro Cárdenas, better known as Markitos Toys. Marco, who has 4.8m Instagram fans, recently announced that he had left his home city of Culiacán to hideout in Cuba after his businesses were allegedly attacked by a criminal gang.
Last month, another one of Marco’s influencer pals was found dead by the side of the road with his eyes taped shut. Miguel Vivanco, known to his fans as ‘El Jasper’, was found wrapped inside a bedsheet by his relatives in the city of Culiacan, northwestern Mexico, on November 23. The discovery came two days after he went missing.
His eyes were covered with green tape, he was handcuffed, and signs of torture were found on his body. Local news outlet Infobae reported he had suffered 70 bullet wounds.
According to his relatives, a group of hitmen had entered Miguel’s home, located in the Quilá area of Sinaloa, Mexico, just days before his death and taken him by force. Miguel, who is originally from Culiacán, Mexico, became famous in the Sinaloa region after uploading content to YouTube and TikTok.
Miguel also shared videos of his close friendship with Markitos Toys. Both men have previously been linked to a local crime group known as ‘Los Chapitos’.
