Manchester United legend Roy Keane gave a revealing response when asked by Jamie Carragher how much it would take for him to go on ITV reality show I’m A Celebrity
Roy Keane issued a two-word response after being asked if he would ever enter the I’m A Celebrity jungle.
The straight-talking Manchester United legend would be a box office addition to the long-running survival TV show. He would also presumably command one of the biggest pay cheques in the history of the series.
One of the Keane’s colleagues on The Overlap’s Stick to Football show, Jill Scott, won I’m A Celebrity in 2022. During a recent live edition of Stick to Football, Keane was asked about his potential involvement.
The conversation started with Scott discussing the financial rewards of going on the show, although the former England women’s star declined to give a figure. The audience was then asked by Gary Neville if they would like to see Keane go into the jungle, which was met with a chorus of “yes!”.
Keane insisted he wasn’t for him but when Jamie Carragher asked if he had a price, the Irishman replied with a smile: “Of course.”
Pressed on if he had been asked to go onto the show, Keane said: “I think everyone has been asked. It’s not a big drama being asked, I don’t get a buzz out of that.”
He added: “I don’t think it’s for me, no. I like to think I’m open to new adventures, whatever, but the jungle…”

He then turned to Ian Wright, who appeared on I’m a Celebrity in 2019, and said: “You didn’t enjoy it, did you Wrighty?”. The Arsenal legend replied: “I didn’t, Roy, no. But the money was good.”
Discussing her experience in the Jungle, Scott added: “I was eating goat testicles, walking planks. It was difficult though, it is hard.
“And you actually feel bad when you win because it is a team game. I’d love to see you guys in there, I really would.”
