Next has a range of perfumes shoppers claim smell ‘just like’ high end designers – and they’re a fraction of the cost
Next is selling a collection of budget-friendly perfumes that shoppers claim bear a striking resemblance to more expensive designer brands and last all day. The high street fashion giant, renowned for its clothing and accessories, is now catching the attention of fragrance enthusiasts.
TikTok influencer Debbie, known as @beautyglowgirl to her 174k followers, explored Next’s perfume range and found several scents reminiscent of luxury fragrances. She highlighted her finds in a post, drawing comparisons between Next’s offerings and those from prestigious labels such as Chanel, Mugler, Dior and more.
In text over her video tour of Next’s fragrance aisle, Debbie said: “Affordable alternatives for more perfumes in Next.” The lengthy caption then detailed the Next perfumes and their similar designer versions.
She wrote: “Back with some more affordable perfumes. This time it’s affordable perfumes in @Next that smell like more luxury scents. The great thing about these ones is they come in LOADS of different sizes whether you want just a small handbag fragrance or a whole gift set.”
She then lists the different perfumes available from Next, as well as their designer counterparts and prices. She added: “First up we have Next Just Pink (which you can get in 10ml for £6, 30ml for £10, 50ml for £14 or 200ml for £26) which is supposed to smell a little like Miss Dior which is £62 for 30ml.
“Then we have Next Eau Nude (which is £16 for 100ml and £12 for a 30ml and 10ml set). This is supposed to be an affordable alternative for Chanel’s Coco Mademoiselle which is £75 for 35ml.
“Next up (no pun intended) is Next Aura (which is £16 for 100ml, £10 for 30ml and £6 for 10ml). This is supposed to smell like Mugler Alien which is £85 for 60ml.
“Then we have Next Gold Fragrance set which is 100ml and 10ml for £20 and is apparently an affordable alternative for Dior j’adore which is £125 for 100ml.
“And finally we have Next flowers which you can get for £12 in a 30ml bottle or as a gift set with 100ml perfume and 145ml body mist for £22. This is supposed to smell like Daisy Dream Marc Jacobs which is £99 for 100ml.”
By snapping up the Next alternatives, shoppers could save themselves hundreds of pounds. For Miss Dior fans, the high street retailer could save you around £56, while Coco Mademoiselle lovers could save roughly £63. Mugler Alien fans could save themselves around £75 by opting for Next’s Aura fragrance. You can shop Next’s full fragrance range here.
