As Christmas Day approaches, many people will be busy wrapping the presents that they’ve bought for their friends and loved ones.
And to help make things a bit special this Christmas, one mum and social media influencer has shared her present wrapping hack that her gran taught her.
Keisha Franklin, known as @keisha_motherhood on Instagram, regularly shares her ‘mum finds’ and advice with her 362,000 followers. And they were loving one of her latest reels about how to give your Christmas gifts the wow factor.
The video started with Keisha folding one length of the wrapping paper over, as she wrote: “My grandma taught me this trick!” She then folded over the other long-length piece before then folding up the bottom of the paper to form a pocket.
After folding in the top corners and top length of the paper, Keisha then made sure it was taped down before putting a gift into the pocket and folding over the ‘lid’.
Next, she made two holes in the top of the gift before threading red ribbon through it to create a handle and adding a bow.
Fans went wild for the present wrapping hack, with the post attracting more than 240,000 likes.
One exclaimed: “I was just looking for a cute way to gift wrap a couple of Tickets without a boring envelope. Thanks for this tip!” While another added: “Ok that’s cute!”
A third chimed in: “I do something similar love it,” while a fourth added: “Nice! I will definitely use this technique!”
However, despite the positive comments, some people were confused about how to add the bow at the end. One person wrote: I can’t figure out what you did with the bow. Would love a slower tutorial on it.”
While another added: “Love this. Can we pls get a video on how to make the bow?”
Someone else also moaned the the hack ‘uses so much more paper’ than simply wrapping it, however that may be the price you have to pay if you want a gift with some extra special wrapping!
