Manchester United are set for a busy January transfer window, with Ruben Amorim’s squad in desperate need of a major overhaul amid an awful start to his reign as manager
Manchester United boss Ruben Amorim may be desperate for new signings, but it appears the club are currently focused on moving players out of Old Trafford.
A full scale overhaul is needed, with the Red Devils having endured an awful season. That overhaul is expected to get underway this month before another busy summer for the United recruitment team.
Topping the list of players heading out of the exit door is Marcus Rashford. The attacker has made it clear he feels ready for a new challenge, though the Englishman is struggling to find an alternative club.
Elsewhere, veteran midfielder Casemiro also appears to be on the verge of a departure. Here, Mirror Football rounds up all the latest Manchester United transfer news.

Rashford suffers exit blow
Marcus Rashford has suffered a major blow to his hopes of leaving Manchester United this month. The attacker had been linked with a loan move to AC Milan as he looks to reignite his career.
But his move to the San Siro has stalled over the percentage of wages United are demanding be paid. According to The Times, Milan are expected to refuse to pay more than half of Rashford’s £325,000-a-week salary.
Their highest earner, Alvaro Morata, currently earns £150,000 per week and they are unwilling to break their pay structure. Rashford would prefer a move to La Liga giants Barcelona, although their financial situation means that a move is unlikely.

United eye Napoli star
With Marcus Rashford heading for the exit door, United have turned towards finding a replacement. It appears they have landed upon Napoli star Khvicha Kvaratskhelia, who is heading into the final two years of his contract.
According to L’Equipe, the Red Devils are ready to rival Paris Saint-Germain for Kvaratskhelia’s signature. It is claimed that ‘concrete contacts’ have got underway between United and the 23-year-old.
Napoli would not against a sale of the Georgia international, though his value is likely to be high. That would appear to make a January deal difficult, even though a swap deal involving Rashford has been floated.
Casemiro heads for exit
Casemiro is closing in on a move to Saudi Arabia, though his exact destination is unknown at this point. The veteran midfielder has struggled this season, with United now ready to move him on.
According to Os Donos da Bola, Casemiro is already ‘packing his bags’, with the Saudi Public Investment Fund, which owns several of the country’s teams, having ‘practically’ closed the deal.
At this point, Al Nassr appear to be the frontrunners to officially sign him. Cristiano Ronaldo is understood to be keen to reunitte with his old team-mate from Real Madrid as he approaches the end of his contract with Nassr.
