Jennifer Lopez’s ex-husband, Ben Affleck, was forced to evacuate his home in Los Angeles after savage wildfires wreaked havoc in California
Singer Jennifer Lopez is reportedly checking in with her ex, Ben Affleck, regularly after the actor was forced to flee his home due to the devastating wildfires in LA.
The Batman star, 52, had to evacuate his $20. 5 (£17 million) mansion in Pacific Palisades on Tuesday after unrelenting flames destroyed thousands of properties in California.
Jennifer, 55, and Ben parted ways in 2024 after just two years of marriage. However, sources say the I’m Real star is in regular contact with her ex and his three kids after the devastating events. They claimed that J-Lo has been particularly stressed over Ben’s wellbeing since “she heard he was evacuated.”
A source told Page Six that the singer “has been checking in on Ben throughout this whole ordeal” and “let him know she’s there for him and the kids,” in reference to Violet, 18, Seraphina, 15, and Samuel, 12, whom he shares with ex Jennifer Garner.
“She offered her support for whatever they need,” the insider noted before adding that she has offered “assistance in any way she can.”
The former couple, affectionately known as ‘Bennifer’ by their legion of loyal fans called time on their marriage after J-Lo filed for divorce in August last year. However, the mum-of-two is said to have “reached out as soon as she heard about Ben’s home possibly being in danger and that he was evacuated.”
On Tuesday night, Ben was seen driving to his ex-wife, Jennifer Garner’s home in Pacific Palisades as both of their multi-million dollar properties were under threat from the wildfires. The Oscar winner, who finalised his divorce from second wife J-Lo earlier this month, is among multiple celebrities driven out by the fires engulfing the affluent LA district, which have ruined homes and are fuelled by winds of over 100 mph.
Earlier this week, pictures emerged of Ben driving to 52 year old Jennifer’s pad. The former couple announced their split in June 2015, days after their 10-year wedding anniversary, but remain close friends as they co-parent their three kids.
By Wednesday, Ben returned to his estate after learning that it was still standing. A source told Page Six: “Ben’s home is still under evacuation order, but he feels so grateful his property is safe for the time being.“
A whole host of stars have taken to social media, revealing that their homes have been destroyed by the fire. Anthony Hopkins, singer, Jhene Aiko, and multi-millionairess, Paris Hilton all lost their properties as socialite, Paris, admitted she was “heartbroken”.
Taking to social media, sharing a footage of her burnt-out home, she explained how the “unimaginable” destruction by the fires had left her overwhelmed, but that she was “holding onto gratitude that my family and pets are safe. Heartbroken beyond words,” Paris wrote. “Sitting with my family, watching the news, and seeing our home in Malibu burn to the ground on live TV is something no one should ever have to experience.”
