Exclusive:
Kelsey Parker, who has exclusively revealed with OK! that she is expecting a baby with her tree surgeon boyfriend Will Lindsay, has opened up on the magical moment she told her two children – Aurelia, now five, and Bodhi, four – that they would be getting a little brother or sister.
The TV star, who was tragically widowed three years ago after her husband, The Wanted singer Tom Parker, died of brain cancer aged 33, says breaking the exciting news to her children was a ‘special’ moment. So much so, they did a video of it, to keep as a memento. We filmed it to keep. They were so happy. I think they’ll be amazing big siblings. Bodhi’s always been the baby though, so that might be hard for him at the start!”
According to Kelsey, who found love again last year when she met Kent-born Will, 27, on a night out, going public with their romance last September, her daughter may just have had an inkling of what was going on before she was told by the excited parents-to-be.
“I feel like Aurelia’s been in this world before. And when I was eight weeks pregnant, she came up and started talking to a baby in my tummy. Will and I just looked at each other in total disbelief! She has also said she’d like the baby to be called ‘Parker’ if it’s a boy!”
As for how the little ones will react to a new baby in the family home, it seems like a long-awaited wish come true. “Both of them had been going on and on for ages about wanting a brother or sister. So when Will came along, they were like, ‘Can you have a baby now?’ They’re so funny.”
Little Aurelia, who seems convinced her mummy is expecting a girl, though the couple haven’t decided whether they will discover the sex of the baby yet, also has firm ideas on what it should be called if it’s a little boy – ‘Parker!’.
Kelsey – who has described her third pregnancy as a “happy accident” – is due in June, and says when she and her quietly-spoken partner saw the positive line on the pregnancy test was an unforgettable moment.
“It was last October 21st, the day after Will’s birthday, he shares a birthday with Bodhi. I was shocked but so happy. Will cried his eyes out!”
Will for his part couldn’t be more chuffed, either. “I’m over the moon,” he says. “This is something I’ve wanted for a long time. I couldn’t be happier and I know Kelsey is going to be an amazing mum, she already is.”
