Several stars within the MMA community have hit out at UFC star Bryce Mitchell – with Conor McGregor now offering his verdict on the controversial topic
UFC star Conor McGregor appears to have defended Bryce Mitchell after the American faced criticism for his vile rant praising German dictator Adolf Hitler.
Mitchell, 30, recently said on his podcast that the German dictator was a “good guy” and that “the Holocaust ain’t real”. The American sensationally went on to make a range of antisemitic, homophobic and transphobic comments in a vile rant. “I honestly think that Hitler was a good guy based upon my own research, not my public education indoctrination,” he said on his show ‘Arkansanity’. “I really do think before Hitler got on meth, he was a guy I’d go fishing with. He fought for his country.” Mitchell then launched a disgusting rant where he made antisemitic and homophobic comments.
When the American’s co-host, Roli Delgado, replied that it was “bad to put a whole race into camps”, Mitchell claimed that Holocaust ‘ain’t real’. The UFC fighter added: “That’s what your public education will tell you Roli, because you believe your public education because you haven’t done your own research. When you realise there’s no possible way they could’ve burned and cremated six million bodies, you’re gonna realise the Holocaust ain’t real.”
Many fighters across the MMA community have been quick to slam the featherweight contender. However, in a post uploaded to X – formerly known as Twitter – McGregor, a former two-division champion – has stunned fans by revealing he will be ‘saying a prayer’ for his ‘God fearing brother.’
“Saying a prayer for my God fearing brother Bryce Mitchell tonight who I know is a good man,” the post began. “Let this be acknowledgement/confirmation of the rise in antisemitic commentary, as well as all sorts of other bull****, phobic, racist commentary, that spreads feverishly and instantly across the world wide web where we, as curious beings, are brainwashed into all sorts of thinking. For what ? For one reason and one reason only. Human division. We say NO!
“All Nations and their people deserve freedom! Humans under God deserve Peace and Freedom and I, like Jesus did for us, would give my heart, body and soul for it! From Palestine to Jerusalem, Israel to Ukraine, Germany to Africa! Russia to Ireland to England to America to Iran. Egypt. Sweden! FREEDOM! Peace in the mother f****** world because F*** THESE ROBOTS, WE ARE HUMAN! HUMANS UNDER GOD FOR THE WIN! GOD SAYS DON’T HARM HIS CHILDREN SO NOW NEVER NO MORE! Please God, earth! Let’s go! We have got this! PEACE PEACE FROM, THE CHAMP CHAMP.”
Despite McGregor being quick to leap to Mitchell’s defence, UFC boss Dana White has quickly condemned the American’s pro-Hitler comments, calling them “the dumbest, most ignorant” statements he has ever heard. White addressed the issue at a recent Power Slap press conference, expressing disgust at the fighter’s remarks whilst emphasising Hitler’s responsibility for millions of deaths during World War II.
“I’ve heard a lot of dumb, ignorant s*** in my day, but this one’s probably the worst,” White said. “When you talk about Hitler, who’s responsible for the death of six million Jews, and he tried to completely eliminate a race of people. World War Two was the deadliest war in history: 15 million military deaths, 45 million civilians and 25 million soldiers were killed in World War Two. Second of all, Hitler is one of the most disgusting and evil human beings to ever walk the face of the earth, and anyone who even tries to take an opposing position is a moron. That’s the problem with the internet and social media. You provide a platform for a lot of dumb, ignorant people.”
White added: “Out of all the dumb, ignorant s*** I’ve heard in my life, this has to be the dumbest and most ignorant.” Despite the American’s condemnation, Mitchell has – as of yet – faced no further action for his comments.
