The first £1million prize went to one Premium Bonds holder in Kirklees, while the second person who is now £1million richer is from Sheffield
Premium Bond results for February 2025 have been revealed – including the lucky winners of two £1million prizes.
The first £1million prize went to one Premium Bonds holder in Kirklees with the winning bond number 150EN423722. This person holds the maximum £50,000 in Premium Bonds, and they purchased their winning bond in January 2009. The second person who is now £1million richer is from Sheffield.
They won with the bond number 513EP525664, which they bought in September 2022. This person holds just £10,000 in Premium Bonds. Premium Bonds are a savings product run by National Savings & Investment (NS&I) where you are entered into a monthly prize draw, rather than earning a guaranteed level of interest.

The prizes start at £25 and go up to £1million – but some months, you may not win anything at all. You get a unique bond number for every £1 invested, and the maximum you can have saved in Premium Bonds is £50,000. The odds of a bond winning each month are 22,000 to 1 for every £1 bond – but most prizes are for smaller amounts.
A total of 5,864,354 prizes worth £430,052,425 will be paid out in the February 2025 prize draw. There were 129,015,731,952 bond numbers eligible for the draw. The prize fund rate – which is described as the the nearest thing Premium Bonds has to an interest rate – is currently 4%
You can use the NS&I online prize checker tool, or the Premium Bonds prize checker app, to see if you’ve won. If you’re a winner, you can have the money paid into their bank account, or reinvest it into new Premium Bonds. You should be emailed or sent a text message from NS&I if you’ve won. There are currently 2,516,285 unclaimed Premium Bonds prizes worth £93,830,100 waiting to be claimed.
Andrew Westhead, NS&I Retail Director, said: “We’re delighted to announce that February’s Premium Bonds draw has brought million-pound wins to Kirklees and Sheffield. The Sheffield win marks the city’s fourth Premium Bonds millionaire and is exactly two years since the last jackpot win there in February 2023. Yorkshire and the Humber may be on a jackpot winning streak, but thanks to ERNIE, more than £430 million in prizes have gone to bond holders up and down the country this month.”
