A mum has opened up about how she ‘couldn’t stop eating’ after having twins, which led her to undergo a dramatic body transformation. She has spent £20K but it’s divided opinions
A mum has opened up about her dramatic transformation after dropping 10 dress sizes and dropping £20,000 on surgery.
After Maisie Smith welcomed her twins, she was struggling with managing her weight. She would spend a lot of her time in bed, snacking and ordering takeaways. The content creator, who boasts over 77,000 followers on TikTok, took to the app and said: “At nearly 19 stone, I was so unhappy and could barely do normal stuff without being in pain.”
The tanning business owner shared that her knees would crack as she walked and she “couldn’t stop” eating. Unhappy, she made the decision to get a gastric sleeve and lost eight stone in eight months, and went from a size 26 to a size 6.
Speaking to YouTube’s Truly TV, Maisie describes the surgery as “the most excruciating pain I’ve ever been through in my life”. “I felt like I was going to die,” she added.
Despite this, the mum was not put off surgery. She was left with a lot of excess skin after this so the following year she decided to go to Turkey to get a ‘mummy makeover’, which included, a full body lift, fleur de lis surgery, mons lift, breast lift and breast implants. “No pain no gain,” Maisie said.
Most recently, last year Masie went back to Turkey to get her teeth done, which caused a lot of backlash online, with people saying “are your teeth a joke?” and “I feel so sorry for her, the dentist should be shot”.
“I get so many negative comments,” Maisie added. But she says it has not put her off getting more treatments. “Now, I’m looking to get the next thing,” she said. She admits her family worry about her, but she does not regret her decision.
Maisie, who regularly gets lip filler and Botox, was reduced to tears while speaking to Truly TV as she shared that a lot of people have distanced themselves from her since her transformation. She said: “I’m still the same person, but I’ve lost friends since loosing weight. Don’t ask me how, don’t ask me why, they just don’t talk to me anymore.
“It hurts my heart because why am I not good enough for you now, when I was when I was 19 stone?” She says she is aware that there are people she knows who have made fake profiles to write hateful comments to her online.
“I hope it makes you sleep well at night, jealousy stinks, have a nice life,” she added.
“It’s mindblowing how doing something good for yourself can impact on others not wanting you to do good,” she added on TikTok.
