Uniqlo has launched a ‘picnic print’ version of its trending crossbody bag

By staff25 February 2025No Comments3 Mins Read

With warmer weather in sight, Uniqlo has just released a new gingham version of its iconic crossbody bag that’s perfect to take into the new season and brighten up your spring looks

Uniqlo’s crossbody bag has been a viral product for the last few years, and if you don’t already own one, you probably know someone who does.

They’re handy, practical, stylish, and great for when you’re on the go. Now, as we’re approaching a new season and warmer weather (hopefully!), Uniqlo has just dropped the bag in a spring-ready gingham print.

The bag, available for £14.90, comes in four different coloured ‘picnic prints’. If you’re not a fan of colour, the black-and-white colourway will probably suit you best.

However, if you’re ready to inject your wardrobe with a bit of colour for the new season, you’ll be pleased to hear that the other colourways to choose from are pink, yellow and blue.

Plaid, check and gingham are all in this spring (as always), so you’ll be bang on trend with one of these crossbody bags.

Not only have we been treated to a fresh new print, but the bag also features a new seersucker fabric, different from the usual bag. This creates that puckered, textured look we’re big fans of.

Another excellent feature of these bags is their water-repellent finish against light rain. As we all know, the UK weather can be completely unpredictable, with grey showers one minute and bright blue skies the next. So it doesn’t hurt to know you can take this bag anywhere with you, and it will keep all your belongings dry and safe.

The original bags are dubbed ‘Mary Poppins bags’ because they manage to fit all your everyday essentials and even more. And the new prints are the same size and shape as before, so will be able to compactly fit just as much.

If the fabric is not really your style and you’re looking for a leather sling crossbody bag, Marks & Spencer has just the one. For £25, the M&S Faux Leather Sling Bag looks far more expensive than its affordable price tag.

Although red has become a bit of a trend, we think it’s a pretty timeless colour that you’ll always have in your wardrobe. This bag is perfect for adding a fun pop of colour to your spring outfits.
