Maya Jama has confronted fan speculation that she is missing a toe on one of her feet – seemingly revealing that she has a pet name for one of her toes that ‘hides’
Maya Jama has hilariously shut down a conspiracy theory that she only has four toes on one foot.
The 30-year-old television host has won many fans thanks to her striking good looks as well as her warn and endearing presenting skills. With over 3.2 million follower on Instagram, the Love Island star often racks up hundreds of thousands of likes for her posts and sparks all manner of comments from fans as she showcases her personal style.
On Wednesday, Maya wowed her followers when she posed in a cream coloured dress for a string of photographs which she shared on the main feed of her Instagram. Snaps showed her posing beside a banister, on a staircase, in the passenger seat of a car, and in a bar with her friends.
Uploading the images to her feed, Maya wrote a caption that stated: “Life moves fast when you’re doing what you want.” The collection of images were well received by fans – who rushed to the comments section to express their approval.
On thrilled fan responded to the Love Island host’s caption to write: “And succeeding in it! Round of applause to you Maya.” While another wrote: “Gorgeous girrrrrrrl – you make my eyes happy.” A further stunned fan typed: “Mother is glowing.” And another simply typed: “Looking stunning Maya.”
However, one comment in particular drew attention – prompting Maya to respond to confront a bizarre conspiracy about her foot. A fan asked: “Have you got 4 toes on your left foot?” And the star herself reacted to the message, to write: “No but I have a bent toe called Pete that hides behind the other.”
The interaction sparked requests and tears of laughter from fans who engaged further with the post. One follower simply reacted to Maya’s retort with a string of crying-with-laughter emojis. While another laughed: “Oi let’s see a close up of Pete.”
Maya has spoken before about some of the bizarre requests that fans have made of her in the past – including a bikini waxer requesting a selfie with her while they were in the midst of the intimate beauty procedure. Sharing the anecdote on The Masked Singer spin-off show, After Mask show, Maya said: “She’d finished, and then she was like: ‘I’ve gotta ask. Can I get a little picture?’ I was like: do you want me to just put my pants on first?”
Earlier this month, fans saw Maya on screens as she was back to host Love Island: All Stars and as a judge on The Masked Singer – and it seems fans will soon be able to see her on screens in even more shows. This week it was suggested both Maya and YouTube star KSI will be signed up to front more ITV shows after fans rejoiced over her Love Island and Masked Singer appearances and after he went down a storm as a guest star on Britain’s Got Talent.
A source told The Sun: “Maya went down a storm with viewers on the last series of The Masked Singer, even though she had big shoes to fill taking over from Rita Ora. KSI was also a breath of fresh air on BGT on Saturday. He’ll help attract a much younger audience.”
