The Lloyds Bank, Halifax, and Nationwide banking apps went down this morning, preventing thousands of customers from accessing their accounts.
According to reports, the majority of customers are having issues with accessing their mobile and online banking. Some are also having issues with making payments.
Problems began at around 8am this morning More than 4,200 Lloyds banking customers have logged issues on Downdetector, which monitors the status of online services. Halifax – which is part of the Lloyds Banking Group – has around 3,4000 issues reported. The Bank of Scotland, which is also part of the Lloyds Groups, is also seeing problems with several hundred users reporting an issue with its online and mobile banking this morning.
Over 800 Nationwide customers reported issues this morning, with problems starting earlier at around 7:30am.
Lloyds Bank has confirmed it is aware of the issue in response to a customer query on X – formerly Twitter. The Post read: “We know some of our customers are having issues logging on to internet banking and our app. We’re sorry for this and we’re working to have everything back to normal.”
