Not all five-star hotels feel welcoming for children, but one beautiful, high-end resort on this Greek island couldn’t be more family-friendly, as we discovered
Greece is one of the most popular European holiday destinations thanks to the spectacular vistas on offer, and the small town of Lindos in Rhodes delivers perhaps one of the most breathtaking landscapes. The nearby Lindian Village All Inclusive Resort Rhodes, Curio Collection by Hilton, is the perfect base from which to enjoy beautiful Lindos and the island as a whole.
Lindian Village, which is transforming into a premium all-inclusive resort this April, is a sanctuary for all types of guest – solo travellers, honeymooners, older holidaymakers – but arguably its greatest offering is luxury for families. There’s plenty to delight little’uns – two wonderful pools, a play area that kept our two-year- old busy and happy for hours on end, delicious child-friendly food and an impressive kids’ club. The hotel even offers a babysitting service should parents want some toddler-free time.

The beach at Lindian Village
Possibly the best feature of all at Lindian Village is its private beach – a stunning stretch of shoreline with turquoise waters. Guests can choose from luxury sun loungers, spacious cabanas or – our favourite – beanbag sunbeds to relax on.
Attentive hotel staff are always nearby to take drinks orders, with beach towels readily available too. Making a nightly ritual of a piña colada while watching the sunset is a must. And if you have a thrill-seeker in the family, the beach has a dedicated water sports provider delivering high-octane activities on the Aegean sea.
The food at Lindian Village
Besides its diverse buffet, Lindian Village has three à la carte restaurants, all of which can be booked as part of the all-inclusive package. Alas Ouzeri offers the best in Greek gastronomy, Era Ora Trattoria focuses on Italian cuisine and Niku Restaurant is a unique Peruvian-Japanese fusion eatery.
Niku in particular is a culinary delight – and while it has a fine-dining feel, kids can be catered for too. The resort also has a gelateria and its own Yummy Truck, offering snacks such as hot dogs, burgers and salad bowls.
The rooms at Lindian Village
The hotel has rooms that cater for both couples and families, while the suites offer an extra level of comfort, especially those that come with their very own private pool. Regardless of your room type, the contemporary design and cosy furnishings will leave you in no doubt you’re staying at a five-star resort. And as Lindian Village places importance on privacy, wherever you stay you’ll feel like you have your own special space.
What to do at Lindian Village
Following the devastating wildfires in Rhodes in 2023, Lindian Village launched the Bee Revived project, which involves the ‘adoption’ of 380,000 bees to address the ecological impact of the fires. During your stay you can book the Bee Revived Experience, a learning session about bees and an opportunity to taste their honey.
As a hotel guest, you’ll benefit from a 50% discount on the experience while doing your bit to support Lindian Village’s ecological efforts. It’s a break from all the rest and relaxation, and a unique activity that will connect you even more to this stunning island.
Visit the Acropolis
In Lindos itself, a 15-minute drive from Lindian Village, you can scale the town’s narrow alleyways lined with traditional Greek restaurants and souvenir shops before making your way up to the Acropolis of Rhodes, which overlooks the stunning beach.
Dating from the 5th Century, the ancient site offers a culture fix for the family as well as a delightful view of Lindos in all its glory. Reward the family for their hiking efforts with souvlaki by the beach afterwards.
How much does it cost to stay at Lindian Village?
Prices at Lindian Village All Inclusive Resort Rhodes, Curio Collection by Hilton, start from £285 per night. The resort reopens on 27 April 2025.
