Shoppers can save £54 on the stylish retro kettle that comes in three colours for a limited time
Smeg kettles are adored for their stylish retro design and premium finish, but shoppers are often put off by their high price tag. If you’ve had your eye on the kitchen gadget for a while, now is the time to treat yourself, as a little-known retailer is now offering the Smeg Retro 50s Style Mini Kettle for the cheapest price around.
Shopping marketplace Yimbly (which is owned by the Mirror’s parent company Reach Plc) is currently offering a £54 discount on the kettle for a limited time. Originally priced at £149.99, it can now be yours for £95.95.
The gadget comes in three stunning colours – black, beige and white – allowing you to find the perfect shade to match your kitchen décor. Smeg says: “Its compact size, retro design, and efficient features make it a perfect addition to any kitchen.”

The kettle has a capacity of 0.8 litres which makes up to three cups of tea or coffee at once and offers quick boiling thanks to it having a ‘powerful’ 1400W output. Smeg claims this ‘saves time and energy’, as it uses ‘less energy than standard kettles’ with it automatically switching off when it reaches 100 degrees Celsius.
The kettle has been designed with practicality in mind, with it having a balanced weight spout for ‘effortless pouring’ and a lid that opens at an angle of 80 degrees for ‘easy filling’. The Smeg Retro 50s Style Mini Kettle currently has no reviews on Yimbly’s website, however over at Wayfair where it’s priced at £149, it boasts an impressive overall rating of 4.8 out of five from 760 reviews.
One delighted buyer commented: “A beautifully designed item. Boils water quickly and quietly.” A second wrote: “Loving my new kettle, it’s gorgeous. Worth every penny!”
Sadly some Wayfair shoppers were left disappointed, as they noted: “Leaked from the bottom after seven months.” Another added: “Not impressed, [it’s] starting to chip.”
However, a glowing five-star review reads: “Absolutely beautiful. Just what I was looking for in a kettle – a kettle with a difference!”
