Celebs Go Dating star Charlotte Dawson has officially become a mum of three, after safely welcoming an adorable baby girl – with an equally precious name to match
Reality TV star Charlotte Dawson has proudly revealed her newborn daughter’s name to the world, just hours after officially welcoming the youngster with partner Matthew Sarsfield. The 32 year old mum of three, welcomed the latest addition to the family on Saturday, and is already the proud mum to sons Noah, four, and Jude, 18 months.
Charlotte documented her labour on social media throughout Saturday, with everything from her favourite snacks to words of encouragement having made it into the public sphere, before her little one safely arrived. Yet it wasn’t until Sunday evening that Charlotte and Matthew confirmed the little one’s name, as they posted a series of snaps of their adorable baby girl alongside her new moniker: Gigi Dawson Sarsfield.
Sharing the news Charlotte wrote: “My darlings I’m soooo excited to introduce our baby girl to you all Gigi Dawson Sarsfield, finally she arrived fashionably late like her mama but a very very speedy entrance into the world weighing 8lbs 9oz at 9:32pm on Saturday 8th March & arriving in true chuffin kweeen style on international women’s day.
She then continued: “We are completely in love with her & so excited to be a fambo of 5, chaos but magical.. can’t wait to make the best memories!!”
“I still can’t believe we have a BABY GIRL… I’ve dreamt of this moment for so long. I think she is such a mix of Noah & Jude.. what do you all think.”
So what exactly does Gigi mean and where does it originate?
According to BabyCentre, Gigi is the “short form of Georgina, a feminine form of George, which originally comes from the Greek name Georgios, from georgos, meaning “farmer, earthworker”, which is from ge, meaning “earth” and ergon, meaning “work” “
The name has been steadily rising in popularity in recent years, likely thanks to stars such as supermodel Gigi Hadid and Cynthia Rowley’s daughter both sharing the adorable name.
Charlotte announced back in September that she was having a little girl, admitting it was “finally” time after always longing for a daughter. She shares sons Noah and Jude with Matt, both regulars on Charlotte’s social feeds. Last month, the Love Squad star shared that she was “struggling” during the final stages of her pregnancy.
At the time, she told her followers on Instagram : “I’m going to miss my coffee, brew, and food holder, but I am struggling right now. She’s lying on my bladder, and I feel like she’s coming every minute.” After tagging her glam team in the post, she joked, “At least if she comes this weekend, I look a bit glowy.”
