Sky Mobile is now taking orders of Apple’s new MacBook Air M4
Apple has launched a new addition to its laptop line with the release of the MacBook Air M4. It’s landed on shelves the same day as the tech giant’s new iPad Air M3 and follows the iPhone 16e, which launched in February.
The MacBook Air comes with quite a price tag of £999 when buying outright from Amazon or Very. However, Sky Mobile has now started taking orders for the device with a 70p per day launch day deal.
The 13” MacBook Air M4 256GB is available to buy now from £22 when spreading the cost with £2 upfront, while the larger 15” MacBook Air M4 256GB starts at £26 with £12 upfront. Opting for the £22 plan equates to roughly 70p per day across a 31-day month, while the £26 plan is roughly 83p.

Tech editor, Dave Snelling, tried the new MacBook ahead of launch and said it ‘made a brilliant laptop even better’.
“Having put the M4 Air through its paces, I can honestly say there’s almost nothing wrong with it, and it comes highly recommended,” he said. “The upgraded M4 chip means it breezes through even the most data-hungry tasks and it will easily last a day without needing to go near a plug.
“There’s now 16GB of RAM, even if you buy the entry-level model, and it gets an improved camera to help boost those video calls. Apple has also added a new Sky Blue colour, which looks stunning, and you get all the usual features such as a decent display, market-leading Force Touch trackpad, great keyboard and premium design that’s built to last.”
However, Dave also noted a potential downside to the laptop, adding: “The only niggles are all of the ports being on one side and you can upgrade the storage or RAM after you hit the buy button.”
The laptop comes in a choice of four colours: Midnight, Silver, Sky Blue or Starlight. Shoppers can also pair the device with a Sky data plan, which range from £0 for 100MB all the way to £40 for unlimited, with the £12 40GB deal a great middle-of-the-road option.
All this comes via an eSIM, an alternative to physical SIM cards that’s built into the device and provides 5G data for using the laptop on-the-go. The main thing to consider is that to get these prices means committing to a 48-month contract.
Over the life of the plan, the total cost paid would end up at £1,056, a £57 difference spread over four years compared to buying the device outright from Amazon for £999. However, Sky does let members swap to a new device after 36 months at no extra cost.
The MacBook Air M4 is thinner and lighter than the MacBook Pro and has been given a performance boost thanks to the Apple’s M4 chip, which helps it run faster and smoother whether gaming, streaming or browsing the web.
It also boasts an upgraded battery life of up to 18 hours, a raft of Apple Intelligence features and a new 12MP ‘Center Stage’ camera, which automatically keeps users centred in the frame as they move around.
