Geri Halliwell-Horner has added her maiden name to her moniker after years of being known as Geri Horner following her marriage to Red Bull CEO, Christian Horner
Mel C has been papped with Geri Horner’s husband after the artist formerly known as Ginger Spice changed her name.
Geri Halliwelll-Horner, 52, has added her maiden name to her moniker after years of being known as Geri Horner following her marriage to Red Bull CEO, Christian Horner, 51.
Christian is currently in Australia for the Grand Prix and was delighted to show Mel, 51, around the paddock with her Aussie boyfriend, Chris Dingwall. Sporting a chic navy pinstriped blazer with matching trousers and a crop top, Mel looked in her element as the multi-millionaire gave her a behind-the scenes tour ahead of the first Formula One race of the season.
The Scouse singer later caught up with Geri’s husband on the grid in Melbourne as they posed for a photo in front of four-time world champion Max Verstappen’s car, which was being shielded from some unseasonable rain.
Geri did not join the trio Down Under, but was papped in the UK this week when she rocked up at the Cheltenham Festival. The Chico Latino star looked gorgeous in a signature all-white ensemble, sporting a floor-length cream coat and caramel-coloured Fedora hat. The singer flashed a huge grin for the cameras as she enjoyed the last day of horse racing.
It comes after reports the mum-of-two is bringing back her maiden name and choosing to double-barrell her surname just over a year after Christian was accused – and subsequently cleared – over an alleged sexting scandal, which nearly cost him his job.
The Red Bull boss was accused of ‘inappropriate behaviour’ by a female colleague at the start of February 2024 before a glut of WhatsApp messages allegedly between him and the woman were leaked to the media, including 149 Formula 1 figures.
Geri stood by her man and put a public show of affection with the Red Bull star when Christian was cleared after a three-week inquiry conducted by an external lawyer for the F1 team’s parent company Red Bull GmbH.
However, the scandal understandably put pressure on the couple, with Geri now said to be ready to let the public see more of her. The Mail reports that there are ongoing conversations between London-based television company Blast Films and some of the world’s biggest streaming giants for a fly-on-the-wall documentary featuring the Watford-born star.
Industry sources say the firm has pitched a lifestyle reality show to Amazon and Netflix that apparently has similarities to Meghan’s widely-panned series With Love, Meghan.
However, sources close to the star told the outlet Geri was not in talks to do a reality show. The Mirror has contacted Geri’s reps for comment.
