David and Victoria Beckham have a stunning Cotswolds home, which is worth an estimated £6 million, boasting a huge kitchen, snug lounge, giant lake, a spa and tennis court
David and Victoria Beckham have been the nation’s sweethearts since the 90s, when they first crossed paths at a charity football match. Since then, they’ve amassed an impressive property portfolio and businesses worth millions, thanks to David’s successful football career and Victoria’s fashion empire post-Spice Girls.
The power couple are also proud parents to four beautiful children, Brooklyn, Romeo, Cruz and Harper. While they maintain a London residence, estimated to be worth £31 million, their sprawling £6 million Cotswolds estate is a secluded haven for the family.
But it’s not all smooth sailing in the countryside as the Beckhams have ruffled some feathers among their neighbours with plans to build a new barn. The England legend is seeking planning permission for an “agricultural storage barn for hay/straw and agricultural equipment”.
Angry villager Harriet Jones has told West Oxfordshire District Council in a letter of objection: “This is just the latest in a long line of applications to build new structures on this land, plus a giant lake. Why do famous people move out to the country and then clutter up their land with endless buildings and make silly alterations? It makes no sense.”
Becks, who turns 50 on May 2, already keeps bees and chickens at their rural retreat, which comes complete with a spa, swimming pool and tennis court. Inside, the opulent country residence boasts a sprawling kitchen, a stylish yet snug lounge, open fireplaces, floor-to-ceiling windows, exposed wooden beams, and a woodfire oven.
With every luxury you could imagine, we took a sneak peek inside as they await the verdict on their latest planning application…
