Dyson slashes £80 off ‘superb’ bladeless tower fan as UK braces for hottest day of the year

By staff30 April 2025No Comments4 Mins Read

This bladeless tower fan from Dyson is currently reduced by £80, knocking the price down significantly – but you’ll need to be quick if you want to take advantage

Brace yourselves for a sizzling week ahead! The Met Office predicts the weather could hit a balmy 25 degrees in Manchester. While sun worshippers are rejoicing, those who prefer it on the cooler side might be feeling the heat. Given that UK homes are designed to retain warmth rather than repel it, indoor temperatures can skyrocket without the right gear to keep things cool.

Enter the bladeless tower fan – a nifty gadget that circulates chilly air throughout your home. Tech giant Dyson has just had its price slashed by £80, bringing it down from £349.99 to a more wallet-friendly £269.99 for a limited period. That’s a big 23% off a fan that boasts a stellar 4.6-star rating on Dyson’s website.

What sets this fan apart is Dyson’s innovative Air Multiplier technology. According to the manufacturer, it harnesses the power of multiple turbochargers and jet engines to whip up an airflow that’s 15 times faster than your average fan, reports the Manchester Evening News. This means it can pump out a whopping 500 litres of air per second – pretty impressive, right?

In layman’s terms, it can blast cold air around your room at a much quicker pace, cooling your space down faster than a traditional tower fan. Plus, with no blades in sight, it’s a safer option if you’ve got little ones running around – no risk of tiny fingers getting caught in moving parts. The fan offers a choice of 10 airflow settings and comes with a handy remote control, allowing you to switch it on or off without leaving the comfort of your bed. Plus, there’s a built-in timer function that automatically turns off the fan after a set period.

If you’re looking for a more wallet-friendly option, Amazon has a range of alternatives to help keep your home cool. This model from Dreo boasts silent operation at just 28dB and is currently discounted by 15%, bringing the price down to £67.99. Another option is this bladeless version from NTEA, available on Amazon for £49.99.

Customers who’ve already snapped up the Dyson Cool AM07 tower fan seem pretty chuffed with their purchase, with over 50 shoppers sharing their thoughts on the product page. One satisfied customer gushed: “Bought this 3 years ago and have used it every night since, summer and winter! Would definitely recommend it to a friend,”.

Another chimed in: “With the weather being so hot at the moment, we made an impromptu purchase. It’s the best thing we have done and wish we had bought it sooner. Cool air and cool design.”

A third fan owner shared: “Bought this fan as my old one was noisy and kept me awake. Tried it out last night and was highly delighted with it’s performance. It’s safe to have on when the grandchildren visit as there are no blades for little fingers to get caught in!”.

However, not all customers were bowled over. One disgruntled shopper remarked: “Its a fan, nothing more, nothing less and an expensive and noisy one at that,”.

Another review stated: “The fan is very powerful however the LED light is too bright. I bought it for my bedroom and it lights the whole room up at night. It’s a shame Dyson didn’t make it dim in the dark.”

Other ways to keep your home cool in warm weather

The UK government has compiled a handy list of tips to help Brits keep their homes cool when the temperature rises. This can be particularly important if you have vulnerable people such as those aged 65 or above, or under 5, living with you.

It’s also vital for those working from home, who may find themselves cooped up in a stuffy, un-airconditioned space for most of the day. If possible, consider decamping to an office space or coffee shop on particularly hot days. Alternatively, follow these steps to ensure you keep your home as cool as possible:

  • Keep windows closed during the day to stop warm air from coming into the home
  • Draw curtains across windows facing the sun during the day
  • Use fans to circulate cold air around the home
  • Ensure your heating is turned off
  • Keep electrical devices turned off where possible
  • Consider holding off on using ovens, hobs and air fryer’s during the day where possible
