King Charles has been spotted for the first time since Prince Harry discussed his father’s health and revealed that he’s “not speaking to him” amid his security dispute
King Charles has been seen publicly for the first time since Prince Harry’s latest bombshell interview, in which he criticised his father over his ongoing security dispute.
The 76-year-old monarch was photographed on his way to St Mary Magdalene Church at Sandringham in Norfolk on Sunday morning, where he is spending the weekend.
His appearance follows reports that Charles had hoped for a reconciliation with Harry prior to the prince’s candid remarks, in which he blamed the royal family for the outcome of his legal battle over security arrangements.
Charles was seen in the back seat of a car on his way to the 11am church service dressed in a dark suit. However, Queen Camilla was not present.

The King is believed to be staying at Wood Farm, a residence on the Sandringham estate.
During an interview on Friday, Prince Harry, 40, expressed a desire for reconciliation but also pointed to his father as a key reason behind the loss of his multimillion-pound legal case.
He said the issue “could be resolved through him,” while also revealing that King Charles has been unwilling to speak with him due to the ongoing security concerns.
He also said he “doesn’t know how long his father has left to live”, as King Charles continues his treatment for cancer.
However, royal insiders said speculation in the interview about how long his father may have left to live was in “poor taste”, while it was also claimed King Charles can “no longer trust him”.
A Palace source said: “If there were anxieties about things remaining private, then Friday will not have done them the power of good.”
Another added; “For a son who claims to want a family reconciliation, it’s certainly a very curious way to build bridges or offer olive branches. His beloved grandmother would have been truly horrified. The King is a kind man with a warm heart and quite enough on his plate to deal with, without all this from his son.”
It comes after the Duke of Sussex lost his legal challenge over his UK security arrangements at the Court of Appeal on Friday.
In the interview he said: “There have been so many disagreements between myself and some of my family. Of course, they will never forgive me for lots of things but… there’s no point in continuing to fight anymore.
“Life is precious. I don’t know how much longer my father has, he won’t speak to me because of this security stuff. It would be nice to reconcile.”
Harry stepped back as a senior member of the royal family in January 2020, moving to California with wife Meghan and children Archie and Lilibet. After losing the court case Harry said it would be “impossible” for him to visit the UK safely with his family.
