‘Nutribullet’s McLaren Formula 1 blender made me smoothies in under 30 seconds’

By staff7 May 2025No Comments6 Mins Read

A Nutribullet blender is a kitchen appliance essential, but the new collaboration with McLaren’s Formula 1 team is even more powerful and made me a smoothie in under 30 seconds

If there’s one appliance that every kitchen should have, it’s a blender. Perfect for knocking up everything from smoothies and sauces to dips and purees, it’s a multi-talented gadget that makes meal prep a breeze.

One of the most well known and best-loved blenders is a Nutribullet, which is known for being quick and powerful to use. So what happens when you combine that with one of the fastest and most powerful sports teams in the world? Perfectly blitzed food in the blink of an eye, of course.

The Nutribullet X McLaren F1 Team range features four different blenders that “combine the worlds of high-performance nutrition and elite motorsports”, and I couldn’t wait to put one of them to the test. I got my hands on the Nutribullet x McLaren F1 Team 900 Series, which retails for £149.99 and is 50% more powerful than the original Nutribullet blender.

First things first, what makes the Nutribullet x McLaren F1 Team 900 Series different from other models?

  • Speed meets smooth: Experience the perfect blend of power, precision, and performance with the nutribullet x McLaren F1 Team.
  • Faster blending power: With a 25% increase in speed, the 900-watt motor spins at 24,000 RPM to deliver ultra-smooth, nutrient-packed smoothies – no chunks, no bits.
  • Quick nutrition: Most smoothies are ready in under 60 seconds, making it easier than ever to fuel your day with healthy choices.
  • Smoother results, less air: The powerful motor minimizes aeration compared to the original nutribullet, resulting in a cleaner, more consistent blend.
  • Bigger capacity: It comes with a 900ml Colossal Cup that’s perfect for blending larger batches the whole family can enjoy.
  • Everyday ease: With a simple push, twist, and blend design, it’s intuitive to use and ready to go when you are.
  • Maximum extraction: Specially designed blades break down ingredients even further to unlock essential nutrients, turning everyday foods into superfoods.
  • Powerful performance: Crush ice, crack seeds, shred skins, and break through stems to reach hidden nutrition in every ingredient.
  • Easy cleanup: Twist off the blades, rinse with soap and water, and toss the cups on the top rack of your dishwasher.

Faith said…

Whilst I won’t pretend to be anywhere near a pro athlete, I have been trying to improve my health and nutrition lately, so the Nutribullet x McLaren F1 Team 900 Series was the perfect tool for the job. I love that it broke down ingredients more thoroughly than other blenders (I hate finding seeds or stems in my smoothies), and I wanted something that would get the job done quickly without being a chore to use.

The giant 900ml cup was ideal for making larger batches of things, whether it’s smoothies or sauces, and I could immediately notice the difference in how well blended everything was. I will say it is loud – which might sound obvious for a blender – but I was a little taken aback by how noisy it was.

This may have partially been my fault; my first test run was making hummus, which meant the ingredients were thicker and stickier than something like a smoothie, and required more intense blending. However when making a regular smoothie it was definitely still a little noisy but, considering how quickly it blends, the time spent dealing with the noise is minimal at best.

The speedy element was one of the best parts of the Nutribullet x McLaren F1 Team 900 Series. I know it’s touted as making things in under 60 seconds, but it blitzed up a whole cup full of fruit in less than one 30 second cycle and it was perfectly blended – no chunks, no missed bits.

For making my hummus it required a few more goes, and I used the pulse setting for this. You can swap between an automatic setting, which runs continuously for 30 seconds, or the pulse setting which lets you do super quick blitzes or hold the button down for a slightly longer blend that stops as soon as you take your finger off.

It’s incredibly easy to use, and the control panel is quite literally two buttons, one for each setting, so you don’t need to worry about faffing around setting things up. It’s also very sturdy and well made, with suction cups on the feet so there’s no moving around or having to hold it in place.

The motor can be a little tricky to clean as those blades are SHARP, and requires cleaning by hand, but I found a quick rinse under the tap and some careful cleaning with a handled sponge or brush did the job. The cups and their lids are dishwasher safe, though, so you can get them clean with minimal effort.

The final products were utterly brilliant, and there was very minimal fuss or effort required in making them – in fact prepping ingredients took way longer than actually blending anything. This is definitely something that’s going to become a regular part of my meal prep routine, and it’s made it much quicker and easier to get extra nutrients and homemade versions of some of my favourite sauces, dips and purees.

You can shop the full range of Nutribullet X McLaren F1 Team blenders here. Elsewhere you can shop Ninja’s range of different blenders here, or the more affordable Philips Blender 3000 Series for £24.99.
