Next shoppers have been praising a ‘comfortable’ swimsuit that comes in several different sizes and colours. Its “flattering” design has proven popular with many people of different body types.

Next says its “gorgeous one-piece” has a plunging effect that will be “the perfect addition to your beach looks”. But, for those wanting some added support and comfort on summer holidays, there is an extra design detail in its Plunge Shaping Tummy Control Swimsuit that’s winning over women across the UK.

The costume comes in a range of styles and colours. The plain black option is the cheapest, priced at £36. But there are many more to pick from, including bold designs and prints going up to £40. A popular option is the £40 animal print-effect version.

Sizes ranged from six to 24. All of the options boast having ‘tummy control’, designed to provide support and shaping for a more flattering and comfortable fit. In the reviews, one shopper called it a “beautiful swimsuit that was “very flattering”.

Another shared: “Being tall it is always difficult getting an attractive swimsuit – this one is great. Stylish and fits.” They added: “There is enough choice in different styles that tall girls should be able to find one to suit them.”

A third wrote: “My body is of an hourglass shape with some wobbly bits around the waist – this swimsuit made it all look firm! I didn’t worry about the perfect bodies of bikini girls any more! I’d recommend to everyone who needs some support to look elegant and feel confident again.”

Someone else claimed: “Really good fit looking forward to wearing on my next holiday.” A fifth added: “Gorgeous pattern and fabric. It’s a really flattering fit and well worth the money.”

There was one common issue across all the different styles that had some lower ratings. A few women claimed that the fit could feel “a bit strange” with some areas – like their chest – feeling unsupported, and some suggested others should drop a size to avoid the costume being “too roomy”.

There are plenty of options available in Next’s Holiday Shop – whether you’re packing up and heading abroad or just need a wardrobe refresh for the UK summer. The collection includes swimwear as well as comfortable dresses, tops and accessories.

There are plenty of places selling swimsuits if you need to stock up ahead of a holiday. Debenhams is selling this bold blue Halterneck Tummy Control Swimsuit for £35. It has a very similar plunge-effect and can be picked up in a slimming black colour option too. Matalan offers this classic black one-piece Tummy Control Wrap Front Swimsuit for £20. This covers lots of sizes (from 10 to 28), making sure there is something for most body types that isn’t bank-breaking.
