The Gtech AirRAM Platinum is said to take ‘the work out of housework’

Shoppers can save £100 on a Gtech cordless vacuum that’s said to ‘easily’ beat rival models. The Gtech AirRAM Platinum Anti Hair Wrap Cordless Vacuum is now available for £269.99 when using the discount code JT83 and comes with a Speed Clean Kit bundle at no extra cost.

This saves £100 from the usual £369.99 price tag, with the discount and Speed Clean Kit automatically added to the basket when applying the code. Gtech is also offering £120 off its ‘powerful’ Multi Platinum Cordless Handheld Vacuum as it drops from £269.99 to £149.99.

Gtech touts the AirRAM Platinum as ‘taking the work out of housework’ as it offers easy manoeuvrability thanks to its dynamic steering and Forward Inertia Drive technology. The latter propels the vacuum forward so it glides effortlessly across both carpet and hard floors.

To rival Shark and Dyson, Gtech has added its own version of anti-hair wrap technology, which prevents hair from being tangled in the brush head, so it’s ideal for pet owners. The vacuum cleaner also features a single suction setting to deliver maximum power so there’s no need to mess around with different settings mid-clean.

This combines with Gtech’s AirLOC technology to remove tough embedded hair and fine dust that ‘no other vacuum can’. Other standout features include LED headlights in the brushhead to illuminate hard-to-see dust and a long-lasting battery that can run for one hour without loss of suction.

While the vacuum’s 0.8L dustbin may be smaller than some rival models, captured dirt is compressed during cleaning, so it needs emptying less often. With the included Speed Cleaning Kit and detachable duster, the AirRAM Platinum can be converted into a handheld vacuum for easier cleaning of stairs, upholstery and tight spaces around the house.

Elsewhere, Samsung is selling the Samsung Jet 85 Pet Cordless Stick Vacuum Cleaner with a pet tool for £479, which comes with some accessories. Samsung’s offering has a review rating of 4.5 out of five.

Alternatively, Miele’s Duoflex HX1 Cat and Dog is £329 directly from the brand, with a current saving of £120. This boasts a rating of 4.2 stars. However, the Gtech AirRAM Platinum has achieved a near-perfect 4.8-star rating from more than 3,500 reviews

“Has fantastic power and gives an extremely thorough clean. Great for picking up fluff and hair embedded in carpet.”

One happy customer said: “Exceeds expectations in all areas, easily bettering our Shark vacuum. The [AirLOC] feature leaves the carpets pristine and the design of the product means even edges get cleaned, which our previous Shark and Dyson couldn’t manage. Overall, the Gtech is fantastic.”

Another said: “Best cordless vacuum by far. Power is excellent at one-hour battery time [while] suction and pickup are amazing. I’m in a two bedroom flat and have vacuumed almost daily for the last two weeks and the battery hasn’t gone down. I find it a lot quieter than my three-year-old Gtech and it feels lighter to use. Storage is simple – it sits in a corner of my bedroom, ready for use. I love it.”

Despite hailing the AirRAM Platinum as a ‘good vacuum’, this four-star review said: “Bit unpleasant to see the dust accumulating in the machine unlike our old AirRAM.” However, a third thrilled buyer said: “Fantastic.

“Nice and compact for storage. Great suction with the [AirLOC] system, has fantastic power and gives an extremely thorough clean. Great for picking up small bits of fluff and long hair embedded in carpet. Holds charge well. Extremely pleased, would always choose Gtech.”
