Police are urgently appealing for witnesses to contact them after a man died outside a Passport Office in Liverpool this weekend.

The man, believed to be in his late 20s to early 30s, was found on Old Hall Street in the city centre after suffering a medical episode at around 4.35am on Saturday. He died a short time later in hospital. Officers have since shared further details on the man, who is yet to be identified despite their initial enquiries. In a statement issued on Monday, Merseyside Police described the man who died as white, 6ft tall, of large build, aged around late 20s to early 30s, with brown hair and a brown beard. He was dressed in a dark North Face T-shirt with diamond patterns, grey jogging pants, black jacket and dark Nike trainers.

Officers also shared an image of a man they believe had accompanied him that morning. Detective Inspector Mike Fletcher said: “Sadly the man died following a medical episode and his death is being treated as not suspicious. “However, we are continuing with our enquiries to identify him so we can inform his next-of-kin of his death. “If anyone thinks they know a man matching his description please contact us as a matter of urgency.”

On Sunday, May 11, detectives released images of a man they believe was with the deceased male earlier in the morning on Saturday. He can be seen dressed in a black and green jacket, black joggers and trainers. Detective Inspector Fletcher added: “We are appealing for the man pictured to please contact us to help identify the man who died.
