Vladimir Putin has been left off the list of Russian delegates for tomorrow’s meeting with Ukraine in Istanbul – confirming that he has decided not to go.
Vladimir Medinsky, deputy foreign minister Galuzin Mikhail Yuryevich, and deputy minister of defence Alexander Fomin were listed on the document, which has been signed off by Putin. It comes after Donald Trump said he didn’t think would go to Turkey for ceasefire talks with Ukraine unless he also goes. Speaking to reporters aboard Air Force One as he was flying from Saudi Arabia to Qatar, he said: “I don’t know if he would be there if I’m not there,”
