A resident who confronted the pair of delivery drivers during the incident in Cornwall said it made her ‘annoyed’ and claimed they rudely asked what her ‘problem’ was
An Evri courier has been sacked after CCTV footage caught him casually throwing parcels around that he was meant to be delivering. The incident happened outside homes in the village of St Stephen, near St Austell in Cornwall.
In the shocking clip, two men can be seen pulled up in a red van on the side of a residential road. One of them then just drops a big parcel onto a front lawn. Then a second man opens the back of the delivery vehicle and two items fall out onto the road before they then begin to carelessly chuck more packages on top of them.

One Evri delivery man even pushes a parcel out the way with his foot. Emma Morton, who captured the footage from her home, said she witnessed the incident while waiting for her parcels to be delivered last Friday.
She told CornwallLive she decided to go out and confront the two men about their actions over concerns they could have damaged packages. Emma said: “I hope those parcels aren’t damaged.”
One man then asked her if any of her items were damaged. Luckily for Emma, none of hers were – but the resident said the men’s behaviour could easily have broken other people’s packages.
Emma noted her usual Evri driver was away on holiday at the time and that the pair of men were covering the round on that particular day. She also claimed one of the drivers was rude to her when she went out and spoke with them over the chaos they were causing.
She said: “I was annoyed more than anything else. Luckily, my parcels weren’t damaged. One of them was a couch roll so that couldn’t really be broken but the other one was a beauty box which could have easily been broken. [One of the men] was so rude to me after I went out to speak to them.
“He asked what my problem was and if my parcel was damaged but I said I didn’t know. It was just the chaos of it when I was watching them and the disrespect of him when I spoke to him about it.”
A spokesperson for Evri has since said the behaviour of the courier in question does not reflect the company’s high standards. They added he will no longer be working for the company.
They said: “Every parcel matters to us, and this behaviour does not reflect the high standards we usually see from the vast majority of our couriers.
“We have investigated the matter and the courier in question, who was providing temporary cover on this day, will no longer be delivering on behalf of Evri.”
