Manchester murder probe as teenage boy ‘stabbed to death outside pub’

By staff8 June 2025No Comments2 Mins Read

Police are urging eyewitnesses to come forward after a teenager was allegedly stabbed to death in Manchester. Three suspects are currently in custody following the attack

Police have launched a murder probe after a wounded teenage boy ran into someone’s house and begged for help before he died from his injuries.

Emergency services rushed to Nevin Road in Moston following reports that a boy was stabbed on Sunday. An air ambulance landed nearby in Nuthurst Park at around 5pm.

According to witnesses, the victim ran into a property on the road after he was attacked near the Fairway Inn pub. One resident recalled the terrifying moment that the boy entered their house and reportedly said, “I don’t want to die”.

The resident said: “He just came through the door and said ‘I’ve been stabbed’. We sat him down on a chair and phoned an ambulance. He just kept saying ‘I don’t want to die’.”

Locals are said to be “in shock” following the attack, reports Manchester Evening News. A significant police presence has been reported in the area this evening. Forensics were also spotted following the horrific attack. Three suspects are currently in custody, said Greater Manchester Police.

Superintendent Marcus Noden urged eye witnesses to come forward with information. He addressed the “heart-breaking” incident and said officers are still trying to establish the circumstances.

He said: “This is a distressing and heart-breaking incident where a boy has lost his life. We are still trying to establish the circumstances around the incident and have a number of scenes in place.

“Officers are looking for information or eye witness accounts from anyone who was in the Nevin Road area of New Moston at around 5pm today quoting log 2250 of 8/6/25.

“Information can be reported by calling 101 or anonymously via the independent charity Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111. You can also use the reporting tools on our website – always call 999 in an emergency. We will bring updates as we get them as the investigation continues.”
