A couple were caught in a shocking lewd act on a packed ScotRail service, sparking a police appeal for anyone who saw a woman in a dark fur coat and a hoodie-wearing man engaging in public indecency on the Glasgow to Edinburgh line.

The incident occurred on the 7pm train from Glasgow Queen Street to Edinburgh Waverley on Saturday, June 8. Shortly after departure, a woman was spotted performing a sex act on a man in full view of other passengers.

British Transport Police have said that the couple were seated in the seats closest to the doors at the back of the train. Their behaviour was only halted when the train guard approached to carry out checks.

Although the pair have been identified, detectives are now appealing for witnesses who may have seen the public sexual act unfold.
