Arsenal transfer news: Gunners handed Viktor Gyokeres boost as fresh offer revealed

By staff30 June 2025No Comments4 Mins Read

Arsenal are yet to make their first signing of the summer transfer window but it could potentially be a very exciting week for the Gunners with a number of deals in the pipeline

Arsenal have had a very quiet summer transfer window so far – but it might not stay that way for long. Mikel Arteta is chasing a number of signings as he attempts to cut the gap to Liverpool at the top of the Premier League table.

A move for Martin Zubimendi is all-but done and he is expected to be followed by compatriot Kepa Arrizabalaga, who will arrive from Chelsea. A striker is also on the shortlist for the Gunners, with both Viktor Gyokeres and Benjamin Sesko both candidates to arrive at the Emirates.

Valencia star Cristhian Mosquera has also emerged as a major target over the coming days and work looks set to continue on deal for the Spanish starlet.

There could also be some major exits over the coming weeks, too, with a few sales earmarked before the end of the window. With that being said, take a look at the latest transfer news and rumours from the Emirates Stadium:

Sporting chiefs offers Gyokeres update

Sporting Lisbon president Federico Varandas has admitted that Viktor Gyokeres could leave the club this summer for less than his release clause. “Sporting is calm regarding this matter,” Varandas said. “Secondly, Sporting does not need to sell Viktor Gyökeres. Fortunately, we have moved past the phase of selling our main asset.

“However, we remain sensitive to Viktor’s dreams or those of any other athlete. Sporting has made a commitment that, after weeks of meetings, we will not demand the full amount of the clause; we will be reasonable regarding the amount requested for Viktor.

“Today, there is a strong likelihood that he will leave. I won’t disclose the amount, but the player knows what it is. I can say that Viktor will not leave for 60+10m. He won’t leave, absolutely not.

“In recent weeks, we have been paying attention. I saw a player, Zubimendi, who is six months younger than Viktor, go for 65 million, and I saw Matheus Cunha move to Manchester United for around 75 million euros. We are talking about players who are 26 years old. I believe Viktor could leave, unless he has the worst agent in the world, which I don’t believe, as his agent is one of the best in the world.”

Berta leading Mosquera talks

Arsenal chief Andrea Berta will consider upping his side’s bid for Valencia star Cristhian Mosquera after seeing their first offer turned down. According to Spanish outlet Super Deporte, Arsenal’s opening offer was in the €15m (£12.8m) region.

That was not enough to convince the La Liga side to sell. However, it is suggested that around €20-25m, with €3-5m in add-ons could be enough to get a deal done.

Mosquera remains out of contract next summer. He has recently been playing for Spain at the under-21 Euros.

Arsenal to battle United

Arsenal will reportedly go head to head with Manchester United for the signing of Roma star Evan N’Dicka. According to Gazzetta dello Sport, the Frenchman is available this summer.

It is suggested that Roma want to receive around £30m for N’Dicka so they avoid a punishment for breaching spending rules. There is further interest however, with Newcastle also keeping an eye on developments.
