Vauxhall ‘murder’ as man, 32, stabbed and London skyscraper ‘on lockdown’

By staff6 July 2025No Comments2 Mins Read

Police rushed to the scene in Vauxhall, south London, where they found a man aged 32 with knife injuries – but despite the best efforts of medical staff, he died

A murder investigation has been launched after a 32-year-old man was stabbed to death in a luxury London skyscraper.

The Metropolitan Police said officers were called to a residential address in Vauxhall just after 5.30am on Saturday. A man was found to have suffered knife injuries and sadly passed away despite the best efforts of the medical staff from the London Ambulance Service.

The police force said his next-of-kin have been informed and are being supported by specialist officers. Two men, aged 35 and 33, were arrested at the scene on suspicion of murder. The investigation is ongoing, the Met said.

The Standard reported the incident happened DAMAC Tower, which is part of the Nine Elms development. According to the publication, the victim collapsed in the lobby of the building.

Detective Inspector Aytac Necati, who is leading the investigation, said: “Sadly, a man has lost his life in the most horrendous of circumstances. Our thoughts are with his family and friends at this difficult time. We understand the effect this will have on the local community, and will ensure that officers are deployed on reassurance patrols to respond to any questions or concerns.

“Two men have already been arrested. Detectives are working hard to establish the circumstances of what happened. At this time, we are not looking for anyone else in connection with this incident.”

The Met has asked any person with information on the incident to get in touch by calling 101 stating CAD1719/5July. You can also call the independent charity Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111 to remain anonymous.
