Southport inquiry UPDATES: Families of children injured by Axel Rudakubana set to speak

By staff9 July 2025No Comments1 Min Read

What is phase one of the inquiry looking at?

As we mentioned earlier, the first and second days of the inquiry are being held this week before a lengthy pause until September.

The last two days, the inquiry’s initial phase, will seek to establish what could have been done to prevent the murders of the young girls. Officially, the inquiry states, it will “establish a definitive account of the events leading up to the Southport attack and the attack itself”.

The early accounts have so far included circumstances of each of the girl’s deaths, with today’s exploring the accounts of people who were directly impacted by the attack.
