GB News star Adam Brooks has been hitting out at King Charles III and sharing his changing thoughts on the monarchy following comments made by the King about immigration
GB News star Adam Brooks has branded King Charles III “old sausage fingers” in an outburst against the reigning monarch. The 45-year-old pub landlord took aim at the King while discussing events at a recent state visit from France’s Emmanuel Macron.
When the 47-year-old French President visited the UK last week, King Charles, 76, hosted a banquet in which he made reference to boat crossings which have seen thousands of illegal immigrants make their way from France to the UK across the Channel. While the King has been criticised by some for his comments, Adam took the opportunity to bash the monarch, branding him “too woke” and criticising him for discussing immigration.
After Adam’s comments sparked headlines of their own, he doubled down – taking to social media to share his dislike of the King. Sharing a screenshot of an article where his words were quoted, the GB News host said: “I won’t lie on TV, I don’t like him”
Adam continued: ” IMO he’s a climate extremist, he’s clearly very rude to his staff, most notably when he lost it at a poor servant at the coronation over a pen, he’s ridiculously woke, he is meddling in politics, where as the Queen didn’t and he lectures us on immigration, when he lives behind 10ft security gates and has armed guards. Not for me old sausage fingers.”
He has also been running a poll on X, asking followers if their opinion of the royal family has changed since Charles ascended to the throne following the death of Queen Elizabeth II in September 2022.
He posed to fans and followers: “I’ve made no secret of not liking King Charles, I don’t want to see the end of the Royal Family, I just can’t like him in any way whatsoever. I’d sit with my nan watching the Queen at the events, she loved it. SO, FOR YOU, DID THE ROYALS DIE WITH THE QUEEN?”
He may not like the answers he has been given, however, as many responded to his post to share their continued support of the monarchy. One follower replied: “No – We still have William & Catherine!”
Another typed: “I’m from the Diana era, watched William grow up and I adore his family. Loved the Queen but never understood Charles and don’t like him now so I ignore pretty much everything he does.”
Oher fans took aim at Adam over his stance, with one writing him off as a nonentity, writing: “King Charles said Adam who?”
Adam is the proprietor of Essex pubs The Owl Public House in Loughton and The Three Colts in Buckhurst Hill. He rose to prominence through social media where he attracted a strong following and drew attention for taking on the likes of Piers Morgan in lively social media debates. He became a regular contributor on GB News soon after the channel launched in 2021.
More recently, Adam has been drawing attention for sharing his thoughts and observations on how immigration has changed his local area – but has faced criticism when highlighting alleged criminal activity in the area.
