A rapper pal of Drake was stabbed in London hours after the superstar musician had finished a set at Wireless Festival

A rapper was stabbed hours after Drake’s last set at Wireless Festival. The injured musician from Canada named Top5 was stabbed in the leg by a gang as they surrounded his vehicle in North London.

The star, whose real name is Hassan Ali, had earlier took in the Drake set. Shocking footage shows a group climbing on top of a white Mercedes before stamping on its windscreen.

The clip showed thugs kicking the vehicle and person inside as others try to record the incident on their phones. Another parked vehicle also appeared to be targeted. Moments later, the driver of the Mercedes was able to make a swift getaway while the boot was still open and windscreen damaged.

The incident came shortly after Top5 had shared clips of himself on his Instagram. In the uploads, Top5 was seen enjoying Drake’s set from a VIP section near the stage.

He had reportedly also earlier told fans on a social media livestream: “There is no real killers in London.”

Drake and Top5 have previously been pictured together, with Top5 labelling the artist as his “twin”.

The attacked was confirmed by Metropolitan Police in a statement. They said officers had been called at around 12.15am following reports of a stabbing in Springpark Drive, near Finsbury Park.

A spokesperson said: “The victim, a man in his 20s was approached by a group who damaged his car before stabbing him in the leg. He was taken to hospital and his injuries are not believed to be life-changing.

“Enquiries remain ongoing and no arrests have been made at this stage.” Following the incident police also urged members of the public to reach out if they had any information.

Podcaster DJ Akademics was among those sharing well wishes online. They shared a picture of the report and added the caption: “pray for Top5. Wish him a speedy recovery.”

Following Drake’s performance, he told the crowd: “London, I will love you for the rest of my life.” He also took to Instagram to share further gratitude.

He said: “Thank you London. Need some time to process what just happened so I don’t have my usual caption…just thank you so much for the best 3 nights of my performance career.”

He also shared a number of images from his performance on his Stories. And he later uploaded a post which read: “There’s nothing more precious than time,” as followers hit the like button.
