TV presenter Olivia Attwood was left in tears after dealing with a terrifying break-in at her £1million home, taking aim at the “scumbag” criminals on Instagram
Olivia Attwood wiped away tears as she gave fans an update on an attempted break-in at her house. The TV presenter, 34, was filming a new project in Spain when her £1million house – which she shares with husband Bradley Dack – was broken into by a group of criminals.
Now, in an update posted to Instagram, Olivia has opened up about the “rage” she feels over the terrifying incident. Wearing exercise gear, she revealed that she had been up early at the gym to work through some of those feelings.
“Our house got broken into last night and I just did a 5am gym sesh because I need to get rid of some of the rage and I need to get ready for the busiest f***ing day of my life,” she said in a video posted to Instagram reels.
“So obviously I can’t go into too much detail because it’s like an open investigation now but basically some scumbags smashed a second floor window, went in. Security team got the notification within like 30 seconds. They were there in two minutes with dogs and the little scumbags ran off,” she added.
“They got some stuff but they didn’t get what they came for and now I have to just show face because it’s a really important work day and I feel a little bit tired. A little bit emosh but yeah. Brave face!”
Later on in the video, Olivia showed herself wiping away tears alongside the caption: “Tired crying not sad lol I don’t do sad.”
Earlier in the week, Olivia told fans that her home had been broken into with an Instagram post, saying: “That’s why we pay through the nose for private security.
“On site in 2 minutes with dog team and the incredible nw police force not far behind. We saw your face, we have your foot prints and finger prints. And sorry what you were looking for isn’t actually kept at the property.”
It comes at a very busy time for the ex Love Island star, who is about to make her presenting debut on This Morning. Earlier this month, she was announced as one of the new stars who’ll be taking to the sofa to provide holiday cover for Ben Shephard and Cat Deeley.
The new gig could result in an awkward reunion for Olivia with ex Chris Hughes, who regularly appears on the show as a roving reporter since his time on Celebrity Big Brother.
An insider said: “Olivia coming on board to front the show for several dates over the next few weeks feels like a huge blow to him.
“He doesn’t want to have to do live crosses to his ex in front of the nation – it’s so awkward and he feels like the viewers will be scrutinising their every interaction and every little facial expression will be analysed. It’s the last thing he wants.”
