Police searching for missing Brit in Tenerife share major update and new photo

By staff25 July 2025No Comments3 Mins Read

Gerallt, 28, from Llandudno in Wales, flew to the Spanish island of Tenerife on July 7 for a holiday, and had planned to return home via Manchester on July 12 – but did not board his flight

Police have released a new image of a Brit who vanished in Tenerife three weeks ago and never boarded his flight home.

Gerallt, 28, from Llandudno in Wales, flew to the Spanish island on July 7 for a holiday, and had planned to return home via Manchester on July 12. He was last seen leaving his home in Wales, police said, before boarding a flight to the island from Manchester Airport. Officers say they are “following several lines of investigation”, but are “becoming increasingly concerned” for his welfare.

Gerallt is described as being around 5ft8 inches tall with short black hair. He was last seen wearing a navy-blue tracksuit and black trainers. Chief Inspector Wes Williams, from North Wales Police said: “We are becoming increasingly concerned for Gerallt’s welfare, however officers are following several lines of investigation.

Brit tourist missing in Tenerife as cops launch massive search

“We are appealing for information from anyone who knows Gerallt, or who may have been contacted by him to contact us as soon as possible.

“We’re keen to hear from anybody who believes they may have any information that could help our ongoing investigation. Even the smallest lead could prove vital or for Gerallt himself to make contact to let us, or his family know that he is safe and well.”

In a prior statement, police said: “Gerallt, who is 28 years old, was last seen leaving his home address in Llandudno on July 4th. He is believed to be in Tenerife, after officers received information that he boarded a flight from Manchester Airport on July 7th. However following checks made with the airline he did not board his flight home on July 12th as expected.”

Too many missing people are falling through the cracks – harmed while away, and ignored when they return.

We need a proper government strategy led by the Home Office, Education, and Health departments to stop this crisis.

Right now, there’s no real support. People go missing again and again – yet no one’s asking why.

We’re calling for:

  • A new national strategy for missing children and adults

  • Proper support for missing people when they return

  • Investment to stop people going missing in the first place

At 10,000 signatures, the government has to respond. At 100,000, it will be debated in Parliament. That’s our goal – real action.

You can help by signing our petition here.

Officers said several lines of inquiry are underway with the authorities in Tenerife, including the British Embassy. Police are also urging anybody who may know of his whereabouts, or for Gerallt himself, to make contact to let them or his family know that he is safe and well.

Those with information are being asked to contact North Wales Police via the website, or by calling 101 quoting I-trace reference 51398.
