Despite only having two bouts in the past three years, Whyte remains a formidable adversary and will step into tonight’s match as the clear underdog. Here’s everything you need to know about tonight’s heavyweight showdown….

Quotes corner

Moses Itauma: “Being in the ring (sparring) with all these heavyweights Daniel Dubois, Joe Joyce, Tyson Fury, Lawrence Okolie, I know that there are levels to boxing and I just felt like I was unable to learn any more. I don’t want to disrespect any of the coaches I tried or did work with. I love and respect them, but with Ben, he taught me a different side to boxing. He taught me there is more to boxing than punch, punch, get punched, punch back, punch, punch, punch. There is actually a whole chess game to this.”

Dillian Whyte: “I don’t feel disrespected. In life, everybody’s got an opinion. Everybody’s going to say something. He’s been in the limelight, he’s the new man, he’s shining, he’s knocking everyone out … there’s excitement about him. People’s memories are short in boxing. You remember a few years ago when David Haye fought Carl Thompson, Carl Thompson was just a danger man that was in the wilderness. No one cared about Carl Thompson. David Haye was blowing everyone away, smashing everyone’s heads in. And then, look, Carl Thompson showed up and got the job done.”
