Summer isn’t over yet, but that hasn’t stopped fashion fans from looking ahead to the next season. With autumn just around the corner, shoppers are loving knitwear and similar styles, ideal for the colder weather.

One early standout from Next is a ‘cosy’ autumn style that’s been described as a ‘pumpkin spice latte in cardigan form.’ The retailer is stocking a £44 knitwear cardigan with a striking orange and cream pattern, adorned with pumpkins and leaves. The ‘cute’ cardigan has seriously impressed shoppers on social media, with fans running to find the style in stores as it is yet to appear online.

The new offering was spotted by an eagle-eyed customer who posts on TikTok as @jessiesango247. Her post said: “New: Autumn pumpkin cardigan at Next.” Her caption added: “The way I stuttered in store.” Social media users were just as excited. The video gained over 90,000 views and 9,000 likes in less than 24 hours.

There were lots of comments from fans eager to shop the style. One viewer wrote: “Well there goes my money, why is everywhere doing such cute things this year?!”

Another said: “I need this in my life!” Someone else praised: “The cosiest cardigan.” A fan added: “Omg I love it,” and Jessie replied: “Isn’t it brilliant!” A similar comment read: “Omggggg I need!” and Jessie agreed: “Perfect for fall.” A different viewer thought: “This is the psl in cardigan form.”

Others shared their dismay that they couldn’t find the new style on the website. One such response said: “Can’t find it online!” Jessie said: “Oh really?? First time I’ve ever seen it! Maybe head to your local store.”

A second fan said: “I can’t find it on the website.” Jessie answered: “Check later today or by the end of the week! There might be a whole autumn drop pending,” and the fan replied: “I hope so, I’m gonna go look before work later.”

She wasn’t the only one planning a store visit. An excited buyer commented: “Guess who ran down to next this morning and got one.” Someone else shared: “I got it in my local shop.

“They haven’t put them out yet so I’m guessing they are not officially out. They kindly got one from the back. That might be why it’s not online yet. Sounds like they just got the stock.”

Next also commented on the video, writing: “We think our autumn girlies are gonna love this one.” Not everyone was so impressed, though. A different viewer said: “£44 for a cardigan? I think I’ve spent too long on vinted, I would want a new outfit & shoes for this.”

Jessie replied: “I rate this! At least you know this is great quality that you can wear year in and year out,” and the commenter added: “Yes it’s beautiful I’ll give you that lol, just can’t bring myself to part with all that money on one item.”
