‘Best mascara’ from Debenhams axed from £30 to under £7 in money-saving deal

Beauty fans can score a premium mascara for a fraction of the price when they sign up to TopCashback

Shoppers have crowned a premium mascara as the ‘best’ they’ve ever used for ‘longer’ lashes. And now, we’ve found a deal that axes the ‘expensive’ product to under £7.

Lancome’s Hypnôse Custom-Wear Volume Mascara is a popular luxury option for those looking to achieve lengthy, fluttering lashes. Usually £30, the tube has been reduced in the Debenhams sale to £22.50, saving 25% on the RRP. But there’s a way to get it cheaper still.

The Lancome mascara boasts a unique applicator brush designed to ‘glide’ over lashes, making them feel ‘soft and supple’. It aims to separate lashes from root to tip, while ingredients like ProVitamin B5 work to condition the lashes.

It’s said to deliver a custom experience, with users able to apply a light layer for a natural daytime look, or layer up for something more dramatic. According to the brand, the Lancome Hypnose product can layer for up to eight times volume.

Elsewhere, Benefit is another popular brand and their relatively new Bounce Mascara promises longer, fuller lashes. Beauty fans can save 20% on it at Debenhams and buy it at £21.60 instead of £27. It has a duo brush tip with fiber bristles to line and evenly coat lashes while the fine-tooth comb separates and defines.

Meanwhile, L’Oreal Paris’s Paradise Big Deal Mascara, £12.99, has a cross-conic brush with hybrid length bristles and a smooth, lightweight formula that evenly volumises and separates lashes from root to tip.

But the Lancome mascara remains a firm favourite among users, racking up a 4.7 star rating based on 1,481 reviews on the Debenhams website alone. One shopper hailed it as ‘the best mascara’, adding: “Been using it for years now and I have tried so many different brands, premium and cheaper but I have always went back to this because it is definitely the best, doesn’t clump or smudge.”

Another wrote: “I’ve used this mascara for years. It builds lashes beautifully and makes them look longer and more luxurious. It never clogs or flakes and it still looks great at the end of the day. It’s perfect.”

Some have been put off purchasing again due to the price, but still enjoy the formula, commenting: “This is my favourite mascara. The down side is the price. I don’t know why it doesn’t get talked about more. It lasts well through the day, can be layered to have more volume without clumping, and great length. It does last a while without drying on in the tube too. I got the brown shade and it’s a lovely everyday mascara. The wand is great and one that I can use without smearing mascara all over my eyelids when I’m rushing in the morning.”

A fourth also said it was too dark for them, adding: “Mascara works well but colour is still too dark. Lancome used to do a brown mascara, the shade was nutmeg I think and that was a better shade of brown for people with light lashes and fair skin.”
