A beach bar nestled on a picturesque stretch of Cornwall’s coast is known for the the best beach bar in the UK, and it’s easy to see why.
The Watering Hole, located in Perranporth, is perched directly on the sand along a three-mile beach, offering panoramic views of the Atlantic Ocean.
It is the only bar in the UK built on a beach, it’s become a beloved hotspot for surfers, locals, and holidaymakers seeking good vibes, cold pints and live music with their toes in the sand. It can be found in the middle of Cornwall’s finest beach on the west coast.

The Job family have run the bar since the 1970s, and it’s steeped in Cornish culture. Once a small beach cafe, it’s now a full-blown venue boasting a wide bar, TV screens for sports, indoor seating, and a packed calendar of live events.
Sunsets here are unparalleled, and the crowd is always diverse, from families enjoying fish and chips to festival-goers watching headliners on the beach. It’s also renowned for serving local favourite Rattler cider, with pints flowing all day long during the summer months.
And it’s not stopping there – this year, The Watering Hole unveiled a brand-new rooftop bar called The Nest, a stylish terrace-style spot offering drinks, chilled music and views right over the sea. Whether you’re there for a coffee or a cocktail, it’s the perfect post-surf hangout.
A short stroll across the dunes will take you to The Seiners Arms, a relaxed B&B with rooms starting at around £150 a night, ideal for those wanting to stay right on the sand.
The team behind the bar is is also revamping a nearby youth hostel into Droskyn Lookout, which is set to open soon with hot tubs, a sauna and more affordable rooms for beach enthusiasts.
The Watering Hole also hosts a series of summer gigs and beach festivals, with previous acts including Jack Botts and Blue.
