We’re all making the same mistake with scrambled eggs and it leaves them rubbery

Scrambled eggs are a delicious and easy-to-make breakfast dish – but there’s one common mistake people make that can completely ruin the taste and texture

On the surface, scrambled eggs appears to be one of the most straightforward dishes to prepare – yet it’s remarkably simple to mess up.

Food lovers up and down the country keep repeating one particular blunder that consistently destroys their morning meals – and it’s high time we addressed it.

They make excellent accompaniments to any dish, particularly when paired with toast or included in a proper English breakfast.

Eggs also provide an excellent source of protein, alongside vitamins and minerals such as iron and phosphorus, giving us everything required to tackle the day ahead.

Scrambled eggs represent far more than merely a healthy eating staple, though, and ought to be wonderfully flavoursome and appetising. Unfortunately, this doesn’t always prove the case, particularly when they’re prepared improperly, reports the Express.

Few things make for a worse morning than diving into your full English only to discover the scrambled eggs are parched, chewy, bland and utterly flavourless.

You may assume ‘it just requires a pinch of seasoning or condiment’ when in reality a blunder has occurred during preparation. However, don’t fret, it’s extremely widespread – simply ensure you take note and begin creating delectable eggs.

One Reddit contributor highlighted an issue he was experiencing while preparing scrambled eggs: “I was making a big batch of scrambled eggs to meal prep breakfast burritos and I barely yielded anything with over half a dozen eggs.

“I don’t know if I did something wrong that resulted in losing a lot of moisture. When I was cooking them the heat was really low at first so I turned it up a bit and was constantly stirring. Any tips are appreciated!”.

It appears this person’s initial error was using insufficient heat, as one user responded: “I like my scrambled eggs large and fluffy so I always cook over high heat.

“I find that the people who cook them over low heat get creamy, flat eggs. No good!”.

Another added: “I cook my scrambled eggs on high heat and stir constantly. Turn off the heat the instant that the eggs are fully solid, and the residual heat will finish cooking the eggs without overcooking and losing too much moisture.”

So whatever you do, ensure when preparing scrambled eggs first thing in the morning to crank up the temperature or you’ll risk a completely flavourless beginning to your day.
