If you’re already planning ahead for your Christmas shopping, the experts at Selfridges have got you covered when it comes to gifts for little ones. From soft plushies and interactive games to trending toys, there’s a whole host of ideas on what to buy younger children this Christmas.

Whilst it might be a little way away yet, one of the best ways to spread Christmas costs is to start shopping early, allowing you to spread the cost of your presents out over several months. So for those little ones in your life, here’s the 4 top trending toys to buy for Christmas 2025 to suit all budgets.

Jellycats

By now you’ll have no doubt noticed the Jellycat craze that’s sweeping the UK, with both kids and adults alike obsessed with adding to their collections. The London Selfridges offers the unique Jellycat Fish and Chip Van experience, with an exclusive-to-Selfridges Fish and Chip collection includes Fish Pie, Amuseables Jesse Can of Pop, Leicester Pigeon and the Chip Seagull Bag Charm.

However if you can’t make the journey to London, you can still shop plenty of other Jellycat soft toys . From a small £15 14cm soft boiled egg toy to a gigantic £750 octopus teddy, there’s picks to suit all budgets and ages.

Noodoll

A great alternative to Jellycats, Noodoll’s are set to become another sought after plush toy for little ones. Coming in at a more modest price and size – sized between 13cm and 15cm, with prices varying between £23 and £24 – they’re a great option for younger children.

Noodolls started as a character on the pages of a storybook inspired by the shapes of noodles and rice before they were transformed into plush form, the whimsical Ricespud character can be collected, taken on adventures, cuddled or added to homes for decoration, making them perfect for little ones.

Wicked singing dolls

Whilst the adults might be just as excited about part two of the Wicked movie landing in November, it’s no secret that little ones have been just as enamoured with Elphabab and Glinda. Which is why Selfridges is already predicting that it’s newly launched singing Elphaba and Glinda dolls – both £35 each – are going to be a hit.

Both dolls feature removable outfits, accessories and brushable hair and are fully poseable. The Elphaba doll sings a 15-second clip of Defying Gravity, whilst the Glinda one gives a 15-second rendition of Popular.

LEGO Formula 1

Outside of Selfridges, there are several other toys and games that are a must-buy, inspired by what’s been trending this year. One stand out buy is LEGO’s range of Formula 1 builds that are suitable for all ages, with the racing craze firmly gripping the UK this year.

From small buildable models priced at £22.99 to large scale designs up to £199.99, there’s something to suit every skill level and age group. You can also buy add ons like garages, Formula 1 grids, and trucks, plus fully interactive playable models for younger ones to get involved with.
