Reality TV star asks ‘assistant’ to book ‘best seats’ on plane but big mistake is made

A reality TV star was left in hysterics after she and her husband were given their seats on a flight, as they didn’t realise an error had been made when they thought they’d booked the ‘best seats’

It’s always thrilling jetting off on holiday, and once you’re settled in that aircraft seat you can gaze out of the window and fantasise about what adventures await when you touch down. Nevertheless, many travellers unfortunately become anxious whilst flying, plus the cramped legroom, or lengthy periods of being seated can prove uncomfortable. Some passengers purchase additional legroom seats, or reserve a spot towards the front of the aircraft if they suffer from flying nerves or wish to be amongst the first people to disembark after touchdown.

Reality TV star from the Real Housewives of Dubai and Ladies of London, Caroline Stanbury, was left in fits of giggles when she requested her husband book her seats on a flight to Tanzania. Her spouse, Sergio, informed her they had secured “the best seats” on a recent Precision Air flight, but they quickly discovered their seats weren’t quite what they had anticipated.

The couple noticed on their boarding passes that they were allocated seats 1A and 1B, leading them to assume they’d be positioned right at the aircraft’s nose. This wouldn’t just mean they’d receive meal and beverage service first, but they could also extend their legs and be amongst the initial passengers to exit the plane.

Unfortunately, the pair were sorely mistaken.

In a clip posted on TikTok, Caroline, who playfully dubbed her partner her ‘assistant’, remarked: “When your assistant booked 1A/1B and you thought they were the best seats on the plane.”

They quickly discovered that “nothing goes back” behind their seats, and they found themselves staring directly at all the other passengers in the cabin. The video reveals all the passengers staring at them as they sit facing forward, with a storage unit situated behind their seats.

Caroline’s shared video clip has garnered a whopping one million views as people flocked to comment. One viewer expressed: “I couldn’t sit there, my anxiety, just no.”

Another insisted: “Omg I would have hated that.” Another person who made the same blunder confessed: “I made the same mistake – I was fast to get off anyway.”

A fellow passenger chimed in: “I’ve sat there before. I got such bad motion sickness.”

One individual lightened the mood by joking: “At least it’s great people watching,” Another quipped: “Are they making you collect the drink orders?,”.

Front-facing seats are standard on most Precision Air aircrafts; the airline’s current fleet consists of five 70-seater ATR 72-500, three 48-seater ATR 42-500 and one 48-seater ATR 42-600.

According to ATR Aircraft’s website, the 42-600 and 42-500 have two seats at the front of the plane facing the rest of the cabin. This means four of the planes in their fleet are positioned in this manner.

So if you fly on a Precision Air plane, you too could end up facing every one else on the plane for the duration of your flight.

Would you fancy being seated in these seats for a flight? Share your thoughts below.
