Arsenal star Ethan Nwaneri furious as fan tries to film INSIDE England dressing room

Ethan Nwaneri was among the England under-21s players to react angrily after a supporter tried to film through the window into their dressing room.

England’s Young Lions got their Under-21 European Championship qualifying campaign off to a good start on Monday with a 2-0 win in Kazakhstan. First-half goals from Arsenal midfielder Nwaneri and Borussia Dortmund’s Jobe Bellingham secured three points for Lee Carsley’s side.

But the team were riled up after their privacy in the changing room was invaded by a supporter, who used their phone to film through the window. There were only ineffective blinds in place on the window, which didn’t prevent the fan from filming at the Almaty Central Stadium.

In a 26-second clip posted on social media, Nwaneri can be seen coming to the window to try and scare the fan away by hitting the glass with his T-shirt.

When the person does not leave, another England player returns to the window to try and block their view with another piece of clothing. But the spectator, whose hand can be seen gripping the window ledge, simply raises their other arm further while laughter can be heard in the background.

Tottenham midfielder Archie Gray can then be seen looking towards the window with confusion on his face. Mirror Football has contacted the FA to request comment after the video picked up over 3 million views on X.

The comments underneath the footage saw the fan condemned for their actions. “That’s creepy and very wrong,” one person wrote. “Do they not respect privacy?” another asked. A third commenter added: “Just let them be”.

It was the first game of qualifying for England, who successfully defended their Euros title in Slovakia earlier this summer. Carsley used the match to look at the next generation of young stars, with goalkeeper James Beadle and midfielder Jack Hinshelwood the only players remaining in the starting XI from the side which claimed back-to-back Euros titles this summer.

Chelsea defender Josh Acheampong and striker Divin Mubama, on loan at Stoke from Manchester City, were handed their debuts. But it was Nwaneri who opened the scoring from the edge of the box from Mubama’s lay-off, before Bellingham headed in Tyler Dibling’s corner a few minutes later.

Arsenal star Nwaneri nearly made it 3-0 before half-time, but Kazakhstan keeper Dulat Talyspayev kept his 20-yard free-kick out. They left Central Asia with three points and a clean sheet after Beadle saved from Ramazan Bagdat and another Kazakh shot flashed wide.

The players will now return to their clubs for the resumption of league football this weekend. The next international break comes in October, with England U21s travelling to Moldova before hosting Andorra at Derby.
