A man who went missing six years ago has been found dead in a national park.
The remains of Jordan Moray were found on the Brecon Beacon last week, and his family have since confirmed he was found near the Llwyn On Reservoir. Mr Moray had first been reported missing in 2019, after was last seen at his home in Rhondda Cynon Taf.
Over the last six years Mr Moray’s family issued numerous desperate appeals in the hope someone would come forward with information about his whereabouts.
His brother Josh confirmed today, that a walker came across human remains while out on the Brecon Beacons, Bannau Brycheniog, on August 29. And it has since been confirmed that those remains are those of Mr Moray.
Paying tribute to him, Josh said that Jordan, who would now be 38, was his “best friend” with the pair doing “everything together”.
He added: “He’s been a big loss in my life and always will be. Now my mam and dad can lay him to rest. Love you Jordan Moray, can’t wait to meet you again big bro.”
A South Wales Police spokeswoman said: “On Friday, August 29, 2025, we received a report of human remains being discovered in a remote area in the vicinity of Llwyn On Reservoir in the Brecon Beacons.
“It has since been confirmed that these remains are those of Jordan Moray, who was reported missing in July, 2019, from his home in Cwmbach, Aberdare.
“The coroner has been updated and his death is not being treated as suspicious. Jordan’s next of kin has been informed and his family have respectfully asked for privacy at this difficult time.”
